THE GENTLE RETURN HOME

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving." - Albert Einstein
Sometimes, even when the heart is eager and willing, the body quietly asks for stillness. I noticed it when two days passed without opening my computer—something that almost never happens for me. After seventy-five days in foreign lands, filled with sacred encounters, soul-stretching adventures, and profound spiritual growth, it was time to return home. What I gathered on that journey cannot be rushed into words or action. It must be integrated, breathed in, and allowed to settle gently into the next chapter of my life. As I return to my familiar rhythm of sitting with the angels and asking what I need to know going forward, they have lovingly granted me permission to rest. To pause. To exhale. And yet, even in this stillness, there is a familiar sensation stirring—like I am just sitting down to lace up roller skates. I don’t know exactly what lies ahead, but I can feel it in my bones: it is big.
At the beginning of this month, the angels named this the Year of Compassion, and that theme has woven itself through every country, conversation, and connection I encountered. I witnessed compassion in the people I met, felt it expand within my own heart, and saw how deeply it can transform the way we relate to one another. India, where I spent the bulk of my time, wrapped me in a profound sense of peace. I knew returning home would be a challenging transition, especially stepping back into the turbulence and division that feels so prevalent in America. What struck me most there was not perfection—no country holds that—but intention. People seemed far more focused on living in harmony than on being “right.” Conversations leaned toward spirituality rather than politics. Televisions were rarely on, and when they were, they weren’t endlessly broadcasting fear and discord. India is the most populated country in the world, and yet there is a conscious effort to respect one another and coexist peacefully. That choice—to honor life, to honor God, to honor humanity—felt palpable. As a Peace Ambassador, my heart felt at home in that environment. It showed me what is possible when compassion is chosen over conflict.
I find myself praying now—not only for integration of my own journey—but for our country. That we, too, might remember how to place God above division, love above argument, and compassion above the need to be right.
Dear Angels, how do we maintain balance when the world feels divided and our hearts are still integrating great change?
Dear Ones, balance is not found in standing still nor in rushing ahead—it is found in sacred motion guided by awareness. Just as the body requires rest after long travel, the soul requires integration after great expansion. Honor both. You are not meant to carry all you have learned at once. Allow compassion to be your compass. When you lead with gentleness—toward yourself first—you naturally extend it outward. The world does not heal through force or argument, but through steady hearts choosing harmony moment by moment. What you witnessed was not a place, but a possibility. Carry it quietly within you. Live it. Be it. In doing so, you become a bridge between worlds, and balance is restored through your presence.
Angels Whisper: Rest is not stopping the journey—it is preparing for the next graceful glide forward. Let compassion set the pace, and trust that every gentle movement carries you exactly where you are meant to be.
Today, I promise to be gentle with myself even as I feel the urge to move forward toward the next step on my journey.
