BE PATIENT

“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Nature never seems to be in a hurry. The sun does not rush to rise. A flower does not struggle to bloom before its time. The trees do not become impatient with winter, wondering when their leaves will return. A seed buried beneath the soil does not panic because it cannot yet see the sunlight. Nature simply trusts the process. Perhaps that is why Emerson’s words speak so deeply to us. Patience is not simply the ability to wait. It is the ability to wait with purpose, confidence, and hope. It is trusting that something can be happening even when we cannot see evidence of it. That can be difficult for us humans.
We live in a world where speed is often mistaken for success. We want instant answers, instant results, instant manifestations, and instant solutions. When something takes longer than we expected, we begin wondering what went wrong. Did I make the wrong choice? Did I misunderstand the guidance? Did God forget about me? Should I be doing something more? And sometimes the answer is simply: wait.
Those four letters can be some of the most challenging ones in our spiritual vocabulary. I have learned through my journey with the angels that Divine timing rarely operates according to my calendar. There have been many times when I wanted to know the next step, the next destination, or how something was going to work out. Yet the angels continually bring me back to trust.
Just as the seed is doing tremendous work underneath the soil before we ever see the first green shoot, there are things happening in our lives that we cannot yet see. Doors are being prepared. People are being positioned. Circumstances are shifting. Hearts are opening. And sometimes we are the ones being prepared for what we have asked to receive. Nature teaches us that meaningful growth is gradual. The mighty oak did not begin as an oak tree. The butterfly did not skip the chrysalis. The river did not carve the canyon in a day. And neither are we expected to become everything we came here to be overnight. There is sacredness in becoming. We may not always see the progress, but that does not mean it is not there. Perhaps today there is something in your life that you have been waiting for. Maybe it is an answer to prayer, a healing, a relationship, financial abundance, clarity about your purpose, or simply the knowledge of what step to take next.
Instead of asking, “Why isn't it here yet?” perhaps we can ask, “What is this season teaching me?”
Dear Angels, how can we remain patient when we want so badly to see movement and know that our prayers are being answered?
Dear Ones, you see only the moment before you while Spirit sees the entire unfolding. What you call waiting, we often call preparation. Do not mistake silence for inactivity. Much is occurring beyond what your physical eyes can perceive. When you plant a seed, you do not dig it up every morning to see whether it is growing. You water it. You give it light. You nurture the soil. And then you trust.
Treat your dreams in the same way. Nurture them with love instead of fear. Water them with faith instead of doubt. Give them the light of gratitude and then allow the Divine to work through circumstances you may not yet understand. Patience does not mean sitting still and doing nothing. Continue taking the steps that are placed before you. Continue listening. Continue loving. Continue believing.
And when there is no step to take, rest. The tree does not apologize for winter. Neither should you apologize for the seasons when your greatest growth is happening quietly beneath the surface. Trust your becoming. Trust the timing. Trust the One who planted the seed within your heart. All is unfolding. And so it is.
Angels Whisper: you do not have to rush what God is growing. The flower blooms when it is ready, the sunrise comes at its appointed hour, and your path unfolds one sacred step at a time. Breathe. Trust. Be patient. Something beautiful may already be growing beneath the surface.
Today, I promise to take my time and enjoy every precious moment I am given.
