ME, GOD AND THE ROAD

Today marked the sixth anniversary of the Peace On Earth Tour. Six years. When I allow myself to really take that in, I am filled with awe. This morning we gathered to celebrate, reminisce, and share the ways this incredible journey has touched our lives. There were stories, memories, laughter, and moments that reminded me just how much can happen when we are willing to take one step without knowing where the next one will lead.
Has the Peace On Earth Tour been a success? I suppose that depends on how you define success. If success means that there is now peace everywhere on Earth, then obviously there is still work to do. But Mother Teresa’s words remind me that perhaps God measures success very differently than we do. Maybe God simply asks, “Were you willing to try?”
For six years, this journey has been one long lesson in trust. I have traveled roads I never expected to travel, entered states and countries I never imagined visiting, met beautiful souls along the way, and stood on sacred ground offering prayers and blessings for peace. Most of the time, I did not know what the next step would be. And perhaps that was the point.
If I had believed that I had to figure all of this out by myself, I would have been exhausted before I ever left the driveway. Instead, I learned to listen. I learned to wait. I learned to move when the nudge came and, perhaps most importantly, I learned that a closed door is not always a rejection. Sometimes it is divine redirection. There have been many times over these six years when I thought I knew exactly where I was going. I made plans. I mapped things out. I decided what should happen next. And then everything fell apart.
I often joke that I make a plan and God laughs. I don’t believe He is laughing at me. I imagine it more like the loving smile of a parent who already knows something the child cannot yet see. “Just wait,” I imagine God saying. “I have something else in mind.” Time after time, the plan that fell through made room for something I never could have orchestrated myself. There were occasions when I ended up exactly where I was needed to help someone or to be present for a situation. Had my original plan worked out, I would have been somewhere else. That realization has taught me so much about divine timing.
We often become frustrated when things do not happen according to our schedule. We pray for open doors and then become disappointed when one closes. We ask God for guidance and then sometimes resist when the guidance takes us somewhere other than where we intended to go.
What if the detour is the guidance?
What if the delay is protection?
What if the canceled plan is actually making space for a divine appointment?
Looking back over six years of the Peace On Earth Tour, I can see a tapestry that I could never have created from my limited human perspective. There were threads that seemed completely disconnected at the time, yet somehow they came together exactly when they needed to. That is why this journey has never really been about knowing the entire road ahead. It has been about saying yes to the next step. It has been about showing up. It has been about trying. And it has been about trusting that when God calls us to something, we do not have to understand every detail before we begin.
Dear Angels, after six years of walking this path and still not knowing where every road will lead, how do we continue trusting divine timing when our own plans fall apart?
Dear Ones, you have never been asked to see the entire road. You are asked only to recognize the light that illuminates the step before you. The human mind desires certainty. It wants maps, schedules, guarantees, and evidence that everything will unfold according to plan. The soul, however, understands something deeper. The soul knows that the greatest journeys are walked in partnership with the Divine.
When a door closes, do not immediately call it failure. When a plan changes, do not assume you have lost your way. When you are redirected, pause before resisting. There are movements occurring beyond what your physical eyes can see. People are being positioned. Circumstances are shifting. Hearts are opening. Roads are being prepared.
Divine timing is not punishment, nor is it withholding. It is the beautiful orchestration of countless pieces coming together at the moment they can serve the highest good. Your responsibility is not to control the outcome. Your responsibility is to listen, trust, love, and take the next inspired step.
Do not measure your life only by accomplishments. Measure it also by the love you offered, the hands you held, the prayers you whispered, the places you blessed, the hearts you encouraged, and the times you chose faith when you could not see what came next. You may never fully know how far one act of love travels.
Keep walking.
Keep blessing.
Keep trusting.
Keep trying.
The journey itself is part of the miracle.
Angels Whisper: You do not have to know where the road ends to take the next step. When your plans change, look again—Divine timing may be revealing a path greater than the one you imagined.
