OUR WORDS CREATE OUR REALITY

We use words every day, many times without even realizing what we are putting out into the universe. We speak casually about our lives, our health, our finances, our relationships and our future. We say things out of habit, frustration or fear and then wonder why the same patterns seem to keep showing up. Florence Scovel Shinn understood something powerful: our words are creative. When we speak, we are not simply describing our reality. We are participating in the creation of it. Our subconscious mind is always listening, learning and tucking away the things we repeatedly tell it. “I can't afford that.” “Nothing ever works out for me.” “I'm always struggling.” “I'll never be able to do that.” These statements may seem harmless in the moment, but what if our subconscious mind accepts them as instructions? What if the universe hears them as declarations?
Florence taught these principles many decades ago, and her wisdom was far ahead of its time. She understood the relationship between faith, thought, expectation and the spoken word. She encouraged people to stop speaking about what they feared and begin declaring what they desired to experience.
I have learned this lesson many times on the Peace On Earth Tour. There have been moments when my human eyes could not see how something was going to happen. I didn't know where the provision would come from, how a door would open or what the next step would be. That is when I have had to remember that the angels continually tell me to trust. Trust changes the words coming out of my mouth. Instead of saying, “I don't know how this is going to work,” I can say, “Spirit is already making a way.” Instead of, “I don't have enough,” I can declare, “Everything I need is provided at the perfect time.” Instead of allowing fear to write the next chapter, I can speak from faith.
I remember the moment the angels gave me this message: Spirit Takes Care Of Me. There is great power in those four little words because they remind me of what I already know. I am not walking this path alone. Neither are you.
Jesus taught, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible.” Faith asks us to look beyond what our physical eyes can see and hold the vision of what is possible. The spoken word then gives voice to that faith. This doesn't mean pretending challenges don't exist. It means choosing not to give those challenges authority over our future. There is a difference between saying, “This is difficult,” and saying, “This will never get better.” One acknowledges the moment. The other declares a future. Our words matter.
Perhaps today is a good day to listen closely to yourself. Pay attention to the words you use when talking about your dreams. Notice what you say about money, your body, your relationships, your work and your future.
Are you blessing your life or unknowingly cursing it?
Are your words agreeing with your fears or with your faith?
If your word truly is your wand, what are you waving it over your life today?
Choose words of possibility such as:
I am supported.
I am guided.
I am provided for.
Doors open for me in Divine timing.
Everything I need appears on my pathway.
Spirit takes care of me.
I trust.
I believe.
I receive.
Speak life over your life. Speak peace over our world. Speak love over those who are struggling. Speak abundance where you see lack. Speak healing where you see brokenness. Speak possibility where the world tells you something is impossible.
And then trust.
Dear Angels, how can we become more conscious of the power of our spoken words?
Dear Ones, your words carry the vibration of the consciousness from which they are spoken. Words spoken from fear strengthen the illusion of limitation. Words spoken from love open the heart to possibility. Become the observer of your speech. Do not judge yourself when you discover words that no longer serve you. Simply choose again. When you hear yourself speaking limitation, pause and ask, “Is this what I desire to create?” If it is not, bless the thought and release it. Then speak the truth you desire to embody.
Do not wait for circumstances to change before speaking words of faith. Speak faith into the circumstances. You are not required to understand how your good will arrive. Your task is to remain open, listen for guidance, take inspired action and trust that you are supported. The pathway may not always appear before the first step is taken. Take the step anyway. Speak your word. Hold your faith. Trust the unfolding. You are more powerful than you have remembered, Dear Ones. Use that power with love.
Angels Whisper: Your word is your wand. Wave it with intention. Speak what you desire to grow, bless what you desire to flourish, and give your faith a voice. Heaven is listening—and so are you.
Today, I promise to observe how my words create my reality and choose a better feeling thought to express.
