TELL THEM ABOUT THE DREAM

“Sometimes you ask God for something and you don't know what you're asking.” Mahalia Jackson
There is something timeless and soul-stirring about the voice of Mahalia Jackson. Even now, I can play her songs for hours and feel the depth of devotion, courage, and faith woven into every note. Her voice carries prayer. It carries truth. It carries an unwavering belief that what is spoken in faith will be answered in Divine time. I recently read more about her life and was reminded of a powerful moment in history—one that forever changed the course of a nation. Mahalia Jackson stood in the crowd as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke. In a spontaneous, Spirit-led moment, she called out, “Tell ‘em about the dream, Martin. Tell ‘em about the dream” And he did. Those words were not planned. They were prompted. They were inspired. They were a holy nudge. And because she spoke up, humanity was gifted with a vision that continues to echo through generations. Sometimes, we need encouragement to speak what lives in our heart. Sometimes, we need a reminder that our voice matters. And sometimes, when we ask God for something, we have no idea just how big, bold, and world-changing that request truly is.
I, too, carry a dream in my heart. I believe—deeply and unwaveringly—that we can bring about world peace. I believe it is possible in my lifetime. I know that whatever we focus on expands, and so I choose to focus on peace, on unity, on love in action. My role is not to demand timelines or question the “how.” My role is to keep showing up, to keep serving, to keep trusting. As I sit with the angels each night, I do not ask when the dream will be realized. I simply believe that it will be. I turn my focus toward faith, knowing that belief itself is a powerful act of creation. The more we support one another, lift one another, and strengthen each other’s faith, the more we will see the dreams of our hearts unfold before us. What dream do you hold in your heart? Are you trusting that it will happen or is impatience standing in your way?
Dear Angels, sometimes we ask God for things without fully understanding what we are calling into being. How do we trust the process and remain faithful to the dream, even when we cannot yet see it taking form?
Dear Ones, when a dream is placed within your heart, it is not an accident—it is sacred. You are often unaware of the full magnitude of what you are asking for because your human mind cannot yet grasp the Divine scope of what is unfolding. This is not a flaw; it is a gift. Faith grows in the unseen. Trust is born when you release the need to control the outcome and instead anchor yourself in devotion to the vision. Each step you take in love, each act of service, each moment you choose peace over fear, you are nourishing the seed of that dream. You do not need to know how it will happen. You need only to remain aligned with why it was placed within you. When you speak from the heart, as Mahalia did, Heaven responds. When you believe without demanding proof, miracles find their way to you. Continue forward with courage. Continue believing. What you are asking for is far greater than you know—and it is already in motion.
Angels Whisper: Trust the dream placed in your heart. Even when you cannot yet see it, Heaven is already responding to your faith.
Today, I promise to keep on keeping on. God is big enough to fulfil my dreams!
