THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

I have never been a fan of rising early in the morning. When I was a child I would drift back to sleep after mom woke me for school and in my dream state I would get up and get dressed, ready to go out the door only to be awoken by my now irate mom and told that I was going to be late. Needless to say, I was unhappy that I had to get dressed all over again and now had to rush to do so in order to make it to the bus stop. For the last two years, I have been following a divine calling to rise up early in the morning to come together with my soul family for a Morning Cuppa Joy. When the alarm goes off, it is an opportunity to do what I came here to do – rise and shine. Instead of wanting to throw the alarm clock or kill it, which was my habit in the past, I open my eyes and say words of gratitude and love for the new day that is given to me. Are there ever days when I want to hit the clock and roll over? Yes, I cannot tell a lie. There are some days that are harder to get out of the bed. What keeps me going is the experience that takes place every single day. The joy I find in sharing precious moments with my soul family, moments of laughter, moments of tears, moments of lifting each other up in prayer. Sometimes I scroll through social media and I read accounts of people who are finding it hard to breathe in the energy taking place, people scared of what is going on in the world and my heart just wants to wrap them in arms of love and share with them the peace that comes with being in alignment with spirit. I am reminded that we are not here to fix anyone and that no one needs rescued. If I just stay in my high vibration and keep sending out rays of love, that is all I have signed up to do. I am not a spiritual doctor. I am a being of love and light. I am not doing a practice run as I did in my dream state as a child. This is reality and my only job is to love and just be.
Dear Angels, for so many years of my life I wandered through fires and quicksand. I spoke of all the heaviness and burdens that I felt, sharing the bloody details and wearing my hurt like a beauty queen’s sash. While my life now is not necessarily a cakewalk, it is filled with joy and peace and I love where life has brought me. My question, dear Angels, is this: are the tough times necessary so we can see the beauty that happens on the other side of the hard experiences?
Dear Ones, there is no hard and fast rule that you have to experience hard lessons in life. Each human experience is unique and therefore your version of the fire may be a furnace where for someone else it is a candle flame. It all depends on your divine purpose for coming into the earthly experience. Some of you are like that precocious child who gets the message right away and solves the puzzle. Others are like the rebellious teen who keeps fighting what they know is the softer, easier way but chooses to try to forge their own path. There is no wrong or right. There is only experience. Be gentle with yourself and lighten up. Your lesson will be as tough or as easy as you decide it will be.
Dear Angels, I choose the easier way going forward. I commit to having the best day of my life every day. Thank you! I love you. Namaste y’all.
