THE PURSUIT OF HAPPY

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters.” —Steve Jobs

I have always wondered why “the pursuit of happiness” was included in the Declaration of Independence as one of our unalienable rights. I haven’t found a good explanation, but there it is, along with life and liberty. I think it is interesting that it is phrased as “the pursuit of” and not just “happiness.” Could it be because happiness is so hard to define? If you ask a group of people what happiness is, you will get a multitude of differing answers. If we don’t even know what it is, how can we pursue it?

Dear Angels, how do we achieve a sense of well-being and happiness? Are strong social connections, engaging in activities that bring a sense of flow and fulfillment, and practicing gratitude and mindfulness necessary as we pursue happiness?

Dear Ones, the pursuit of happiness is a deeply personal journey that looks different for each individual. It involves seeking out what truly brings you joy and contentment and striving to create a life that is aligned with your values, passions, and goals. By embracing this pursuit and making choices that support your well-being, you can cultivate a sense of happiness and fulfillment that enriches your life and the lives of those around you. There is no “one size fits all” way to achieve happiness. Each of you has to come to terms with what happy looks like for you. Once you put some thought into it, you can choose to make better choices so you can embrace this in your life or stay unhappy. It truly is up to you.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.

Today, I promise to stay in my state of happiness.
