Take Me Out To The Ballgame

When we were young my brothers used to beg me to play ball with them. It was usually baseball and sometimes basketball. I loved them both and was pretty good – well, good enough to beat my brothers at horse anyway. Playing ball ended for me my first semester of college when I was hit by a softball right on the kneecap. I’m still paying for that decades later.
Dear Angels, we just ended the month of July and welcoming a new month with a full moon and a portal opening. This also marks the beginning of my birthday month. Yes, it is a month-long celebration. I jokingly told someone I was going backwards in age one year every day up until my birthday. Honestly, though I wouldn’t trade this time in life for anything in the world, even with a bum knee. I love every minute of my life. I love the memories, even the ones that are not so pleasant. I have been blessed with so many more years than I ever thought was possible.
Dear Ones, it doesn’t matter if you cannot physically participate in activities like you used to be able to do. The mind will believe you when you pull up a memory or simply visualize an activity. It’s all about the play. Getting into the joy and freedom of play as you did when you were a child makes the earth time flow by. The more you play, the warmer the memories.
