Spreading Love

When I hear about the things people are doing to make this world a better place, my heart is warmed. It is the gift that keeps growing and expanding. There are many times I get mesmerized just reading through the “nice news” articles that come to my email and then I follow the breadcrumbs from there to find others. The story tonight was of a man who was high up in the mountains playing his banjo outside when he was joined by a fox who sat attentively and listened. While this may not seem like a big deal, to an animal lover such as myself it was a blessing to hear when someone shares love with any animal. The second story that was heart-warming was of an 84-year-old Holocaust survivor who diligently searched for the family who hid him and kept him safe during that horrible time. With diligence and I believe angelic guidance, he did find family members of the couple who saved his life along with his brother’s. While these seem like very polar opposites in magnitude, the Course in Miracles teaches us that there is no greater than or lesser than when it comes to miracles. Love is love no matter who (or what) it is expressed to. When it comes from the heart, it is in alignment with the Oneness of all that is and it is all beautiful.
Dear Angels, we do tend to make comparisons and judge things to be of higher or lower value when we are caught up in the illusion of separation. What makes it so difficult for us to step into our equality?
Dear Ones, there are so many factors at play as you go about your daily lives and make decisions based on things from your past, or from your emotions, or because you give in to peer or family pressure. Because you are seeking that feeling of being accepted and loved, you many times follow the crowd and go along with the popular opinion or the latest trend. We encourage you to be your own person, using your own mind but most of all using your spiritual gifts of discernment and intuition. Your heart will not lie to you, unlike your brain which just wants to please. The heart will help you look at a situation and come from pure love to get your answers. When you stay heart-centered, you stay in the flow which is being in alignment with who you truly are. The flow can be stopped when you are drawn away from your heart and start overthinking and analyzing situations. The comparison that you do will only keep you in separation mindset. Be happy for your fellow humans as they achieve and succeed. Lift them up and in so doing, you lift yourself. If you find yourself comparing what others have or do to your own self, just pause and observe. Be very gentle with yourself. Remember that there is only love. And also remember that it comes from a well that never runs dry. The more you give, the more that it comes back to you. Spread it everywhere you go and then receive your blessings.
