“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”  ― John Green

Today is my mom’s birthday. I’m pretty sure I went my entire childhood not knowing that. We never talked about birthdays and they were just another day. I have had to do a lot of forgiveness work where my mom is concerned. I felt guilty when I sat with a therapist and tried to process my childhood and how I felt that she never had my back. Parents are supposed to look out for their children and protect them. I never had that and yet I felt bad expressing it. Like I had done something wrong. Like I was going to be punished for how I felt. Isn’t it amazing what the “shouldas“will do to us and the ripple effect they have even years later? It wasn’t until I realized what forgiveness was all about that I could see her through a different lens. I actually felt sorry for her and the hard life she had led. Now I realize that was her path and brought her life lessons that I had no understanding of, nor is it any of my business. That is between her and God and for no one to judge or deem right or wrong. I know she is at peace and I believe she did learn what she came here to work on.

Dear Angels, none of us are perfect; therefore, we do not have the right to judge others or how they play their part in their life journey. It is one of our hardest lessons to learn. Our human response is most often to criticize others for not living up to our expectations.

Dear Ones, judging and comparing keep you in a separation mindset. This is definitely one of your hardest lessons to come to terms with. We encourage you to make it a practice to see yourself in everyone you come into contact with. Look beyond the physical form and seek to see the light within. That is what you will recognize as your true reflection. The outer shell will always look different and blind you to the fact of Oneness. The human shell is only temporary. Look for what is everlasting, which is deep inside of all of you. To see it, you have to look with your spiritual eyes and not through human eyes. Be only love. See only love.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.

Today, I promise to look beyond the physical appearances and see only love.
