“Since you alone are responsible for your thoughts, only you can change them.” Paramahansa Yogananda
Thoughts are our human way of expressing. We cannot stop them, nor should we. However, the more consciously aware we are of the nature of our thoughts, the more we can direct our lives in a positive flow. I read an article in Huffpost that said “Neuroscientists have discovered that repetitive thoughts form neural pathways as neurons that fire together get wired together. Thus, the more a particular thought or belief is activated and reinforced, the stronger these neural pathways become and the more automatically they become our "go to" pattern of perceiving.” Wow! That is a very powerful statement, I believe. I have been criticized in the past for teaching that using “I Am” statements changes us. Many have a hard time saying something like “I am worthy” or “I am beautiful.” While it may feel foreign to say those words to yourself, doesn’t it make sense to at least try it given the above findings? I know that self-affirmations have helped me in my spiritual journey. When I first started saying them, I didn’t believe them either. The more I said them, however, the more I started accepting that they could be true. We are not asked to do anything other than be open to possibility. Not only do I believe 100% in the self-affirmations I say every day, but there is nothing that can convince me that they are not true.
Dear Angels, I am so grateful for lessons learned in life and for those who have gone before me to show the way to more inner peace. How can we strengthen our knowingness of the beautiful powerful beings that we are?
Dear Ones, as you open to your true authentic selves you will find the self-talk feels more in alignment. As you are cloaked in the ego thoughts, the message does not ring true. You perceive the world outside of you as unkind and uncaring, thus you believe that no one – not even you – cares about you. As you take a deeper dive into your Divine self, the things of the world become less important as a gauge of who you really are. Other people’s opinions and judgments no longer matter so much and if you continue the exploration, you will find that they are not important at all. It is only you that you have to be comfortable and happy living with. No one can dim your light unless you allow your thoughts to believe it is so. The way to stop the freight train of downhill runaway thoughts is to stop fueling the engine with the negative energy. Instead pour in some uplifting thoughts that are empowering. Try on one new thought at a time. Let it permeate your walls that you have put up. When you bring the positive energy in and focus on it, you will find it hanging out with you and reminding you that it is there. Make friends with it. Before you know it, you will be having a party going on inside your head as more of your “friends” start showing up.
Dear Angels, I am dancing with delight at my party! Thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
