Forward Together Focused On Peace

“A small change can make a big difference. You are the only one who can make our world a better place to inhabit. So, don’t be afraid to take a stand .” ― Ankita Singhal

The year I was born was the year the Korean War ended, Queen Elizabeth II was formally crowned as the monarch, a new car cost $1600, rent averaged $85 per month and you could buy a new home for under $10k. I attended the University of Kentucky where my husband and I lived off campus, renting a huge upstairs/downstairs apartment for $65 month. The average electric bill was $60. Gas was 28 cents per gallon. Not long ago I paid over $5 a gallon for gas! My new car cost over 18 times what a car cost back then. Does this sound a bit crazy? I witnessed the passing of Her Majesty the Queen last year. There have been 14 US presidents since I was born! However, with all this change I see that the most significant changes that have taken place is the growth of science and technology. Advances in science and technology have made life easier and more comfortable for people around the world. However, they have also created a sense of disconnection from the natural world and from our spiritual roots. The rise of materialism and consumerism has led to a loss of spiritual values, such as compassion, kindness, and empathy.

Dear Angels, change is good as we want to move forward in life and we cannot do so if we are stuck. People are increasingly questioning the role of religion in their lives and are seeking spirituality in other forms. This has led to a rise in interest in alternative spiritual practices, such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.

Dear Ones, we know that the changes you have encountered were not easy to understand and incorporate. Please be gentle with yourselves as you look at some of these astonishing facts. While there have been positive developments, there have also been significant challenges and setbacks. As you tap into your spirituality to address these challenges, focusing on inspiring positive change is the key to ensuring that these changes include spiritual values such as compassion, kindness, and empathy. Dear Ones, creating a more balanced world includes placing God at the center and will require the collaborative efforts of individuals and communities working together. What is your part? Can you envision your role in building a world that works for everyone?

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to stay present in the moment and appreciate where I am in my daily life.

On Saturday, April 22, 2023 our nonprofit organization - Ten Million for World Peace - will hold its first public discussion regarding our mission and our vision. MarBeth Dunn, Maureen Whitehouse and myself are the founders of this movement and would like to see the support of the masses in bringing forth a concerted effort to influence our global leadership in thinking along the lines of peace instead of conflict. Please join us as we officially announce our intentions and get the ball rolling in this direction.
