When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” —Peter Marshall
I have indeed said “why” and “why me” many times over the course of this lifetime. I mistakenly had the idea that the easy life was the best life we could live. Yes you heard right, mistakenly. We didn’t come to experience life here in the 3D to have everything handed to us on a silver platter. One of the greatest philosophers of our time, Aristotle, said “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.” What we focus on expands, so if we are so focused on the dark moments and the struggle we are faced with then it will be what overshadows our light within. Persevering through the dark times brings a confidence because our soul is experiencing growth as we learn. Rumi says, “If light is in your heart, you will find your way home.”
Dear Angels, living through some of the toughest experiences life has to offer has created a knowingness inside that the dark times we go through is a necessary part of growth. We didn’t come here to just hang out for 60 years and then move on to the next lifetime. What is the best way we can face the difficulties and not be broken from the experiences?
Dear Ones, think of a smooth crystal clear lake with the water glistening in the sun. If there is no movement in the water, the vegetation and life beneath the surface will exist in stagnant energy which will be a breeding ground for bacteria and disease. It is much the same for humans who lived their lives without movement; their energy within becomes stagnant and their potential for thriving will be unfulfilled. Challenge is essential to your growth. What you think of as your darkness or shadow self is not to be dreaded or feared, but instead to be honored and welcomed to propel you forth into a higher level of understanding. You won’t lose your light because of a struggle within. It may seem dimmer during the time you are in the tunnel but watch what happens as you exit to the other side of that situation. That light you thought was fading out will expand and illuminate your magnificence. Knowing this, you can make it through that time of darkness. You have a legion of angels guiding you so you don’t bump into the walls.
Dear Angels, thank you for your immeasurable love and support. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to love and honor my shadows as much as I love and honor my light.
