CELESTIAL FLIGHT

"Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see."  Neil Postman

Today marked the closing chapter of a sacred pause in my journey—a final day at the magical farmhouse that has held me in its warm embrace these past few days. Tucked among gardens and songbirds, this place has gifted me a sweet blend of wonder and nostalgia. It whispered to my soul in ways that only the earth, the sky, and the quiet rustle of memories can. Each moment here has felt like a bridge between past and present. Plucking warm cherry tomatoes straight from the vine, hanging linens out to dance with the wind, and gently swaying on an old-fashioned swing—all reminders of my childhood in the hills of Kentucky. Though I’ve lived the pace of city life for much of my adulthood, this simple life called something deep within me back to stillness. This morning, drawn once more to the saltwater pool, I paused before diving in. Floating leaves and tiny creatures danced upon the water. I reached for the net and gently scooped them out, only to find a dragonfly trapped in a delicate struggle for life. A Junebug clung to its fragile wings, weighing it down. Carefully, I freed the dragonfly and placed it in the sunlight, whispering prayers over its damp wings. I watched as it dried, regaining strength, and when the moment was right—it flew. Not away from me, but with me, in spirit. Dragonflies are messengers to me. They often arrive after a loved one transitions or during times of uncertainty, as if to say, “You are not alone.” Looking into its crystalline eyes, I saw only gratitude. Inside, four Monarch butterflies awaited their first flight. Their wings, still damp from birth, quivered in anticipation of the sky. In the past two days, nine Monarchs have emerged. I call them the Peace Butterflies—each one now woven into the fabric of the Peace On Earth Tour. Each butterfly released today bore a sacred name:

  • CeeJay, the first little Pea, curious and bold, soared to a tree swing, pausing as if to take it all in.

  • Grayson wasted no time and took off in a joyful spiral to greet the treetops.

  • Max clung to my finger at first—cautious, tender—but as soon as he touched a tiny flower, he burst forth into adventure.

  • And then, there was Hado. Sweet, small, and fragile. I watched her break through the chrysalis, her wings trembling as she tested them. Twice she tried to take flight, and twice she faltered. So I carried her to the wildflower field, whispering encouragement as she clung to milkweed and tasted nectar for the first time.

Hado represents the babies in our Peas for Peace circle—the ones Kathleen (our dear Mama Hado Bear) brings to us. These tiny warriors, wrapped in vulnerability, fight so bravely for life. And just like them, Hado the butterfly—though trembling—was full of will and wonder. As I bid farewell to this haven of miracles and memories, I find myself reflecting on the nature of transformation, trust, and the silent grace that flows through all living things.

Dear Angels, why is it that these small moments with nature feel like such profound soul lessons? What message were the butterflies and dragonfly offering today?

Dear Ones, the Earth speaks in whispers to those willing to slow down and listen. The dragonfly, emerging from peril, reminds you of resilience—the ability to rise even when burdened. In freeing it, you were also freeing a part of yourself that had been weighed down. You did not just save a creature; you acknowledged the sacred web of interconnectedness. The butterflies were more than wings on the wind—they were carriers of peace, each one mirroring the children whose names they bore. You saw in them the fragility of life, the courage of the vulnerable, and the magic of metamorphosis. Every hesitant flutter was a declaration that even the smallest among us is destined to fly. Nature mirrors you—your growth, your setbacks, your triumphs. When you witness these tiny miracles, your soul remembers its own journey: the cocoon of pain, the struggle to break free, and the beauty of becoming. Stay open to the signs. For in the gaze of a dragonfly, the trembling wings of a butterfly, or the soft rustle of leaves, we are always guiding you home—to peace, to love, to remembrance.

Angels Whisper: When you honor the flight of another, you awaken your own wings. Trust the wind. Trust the journey. You were always meant to fly.

Today, I promise to fly with the spirit of adventure, honoring the strength of my wings and the places they will take me.
