BEYOND THE MATERIAL

“You will be remembered for making a difference, and not for being the owner of fleets of cars.”
― Michael Bassey Johnson
I can still remember the day I got my very first new car. The scent of fresh upholstery filled the air, and my heart danced with excitement as I drove it off the lot. It was a deep blue Honda Civic, a stick shift, and it was mine. That moment felt like a milestone—proof of hard work, determination, and a dream realized.
Over the years, there have been other cars, each serving a purpose along my journey. Yet that first one, and the Angelmobile I travel in now on the Peace On Earth Tour, hold a special place in my heart. They symbolize movement—forward motion in life, and the ability to answer Spirit’s call to go where I am guided. And still… even as meaningful as those moments have been, they pale in comparison to something far greater. My walk with God. If given the choice, I would rather walk hand in hand with the Divine each day than ride in the most luxurious vehicle without that connection. Because what is the value of comfort without peace? What is the gain of possession without purpose?
The angels gently remind me often of how brief this human experience truly is. This lifetime—this “minute” we inhabit in physical form—is but a blink in the vastness of eternity. And within this sacred moment, I find myself asking: What will I leave behind?
Not cars.
Not houses.
Not things.
But love.
Kindness.
Compassion.
Peace.
A life that makes a difference.
The words of Jesus echo through time: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” These are not words of denial, but of awareness. They invite us to reflect on where we place our value and our energy. Yes, we live in a world where “things” are necessary. We require shelter, transportation, and resources to navigate this earthly existence. But these are tools, not treasures. They are means, not meaning.
Dear Angels, In a world where material things are often necessary for survival, how do we remember not to place too much importance on them?
Dear Ones, We invite you to see all material things as temporary companions along your journey, not as the destination itself. There is no wrongdoing in enjoying what supports or uplifts your human experience. However, when these things begin to define your worth or distract you from your connection to Source, imbalance occurs. You are eternal beings having a temporary experience. What you gather in form will one day be released, but what you cultivate in spirit will travel with you beyond time. Inner peace, love, compassion, and your relationship with the Divine—these are the treasures that endure.
To lose your soul is not an event, but a forgetting—a drifting away from truth, from love, from your sacred connection. When you place temporary pleasures above eternal knowing, you create distance from your essence. Return, Dear One. Again and again, return. Let your life be measured not by what you own, but by how deeply you have loved, how gently you have walked, and how brightly you have allowed your light to shine.
Angels Whisper: The treasures of the soul cannot be parked in a driveway or stored in a vault. They are carried in your heart, revealed in your kindness, and remembered in the lives you touch. Choose what lasts beyond this moment, and you will never be without true wealth.
Today, I promise to keep God first in my life and let things be just things.
