LOVE ANYWAY

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."  Matthew 5:44

There are some teachings that feel almost impossible when we first hear them. This is one of them. For many years, I carried a quiet storm within me—resentment rooted in something that had happened in my childhood. It sat beneath the surface like a volcano, filled with layers of shame, blame, and anger. From the outside, life moved forward. But inside, there was a pressure that never quite released until a counseling session in my early adulthood where something shifted. A realization came—not gently, but powerfully—that holding onto that pain was not punishing anyone else. It was imprisoning me.

There would be no apology. The person had already passed on. There would be no reconciliation in the physical sense. And in that moment, I understood something that would forever change me: I had the power to release myself. Not through confrontation. Not through explanation. But through love. As I let go of the identity of “victim,” something incredible happened. I felt empowered for the first time in decades. The chains I had unknowingly wrapped around my own heart began to fall away. There were no grand gestures, no dramatic words—only a quiet, steady flow of love returning to me… from me. That moment became a cornerstone of my spiritual journey. The lesson was unmistakable: I would only remain a victim if I chose to be one. And life, as it does, brought opportunities to test that truth. There were moments of disappointment. Times of betrayal. Words spoken behind my back. Even within spiritual communities, where one might expect only light, I encountered shadows. But instead of falling back into old patterns, I returned to that sacred understanding. Not everyone’s story is truth. The only truth I can fully trust is the one I cultivate in my connection with my Creator. That connection has become my compass—my litmus test for every relationship, every decision, every step forward. When I pause and ask the angels, when I sit in stillness and listen, there is a clarity that rises from within. If something resonates in that sacred space, I trust it. If there is even a whisper of unease, I honor it and step back.

Loving those who have hurt us does not mean condoning their actions. It does not mean allowing harm to continue. It means releasing the hold their actions have on our heart. It means choosing freedom. It means choosing peace. It means choosing love—not for them, but for ourselves.

Dear Angels, how can we truly love those who have hurt us deeply without losing ourselves in the process?

Dear Ones, to love another does not require you to remain in their presence, nor does it ask you to accept what is not aligned with your truth. Love, in its purest form, is an energy you hold within your own heart. It is not a contract with another—it is a communion with your divine essence. When you release resentment, you are not setting the other free—you are setting yourself free. You are dissolving the cords that bind you to pain and stepping into the light of your own sovereignty. Loving those who have harmed you simply means you no longer allow their actions to define your inner world. You reclaim your power by choosing peace over bitterness, compassion over judgment, and truth over illusion. Stand firmly in your boundaries, Dear Ones. Walk away when your soul calls you to do so. And as you do, carry love not as a burden, but as a blessing you give to yourself. In this, you are whole. In this, you are free.

Angels Whisper: Release the weight of yesterday. What once wounded you no longer holds power unless you give it breath. In choosing love, you do not rewrite the past—you transform your present. And in that sacred transformation, you become the light you were always meant to be.

Today, I promise to continue my close walk with Jesus, the angels and the Creator to remain empowered as I move forward in love.
