HOME IN MY HEART

Today I sat and enjoyed being engulfed in nature energy in the place of my childhood years. I grew up in these Appalachian mountains right here in this neighborhood where my sister still lives. Across the street and up the hill, I can see what remains of my parents’ home—a structure that once pulsed with laughter, lessons, and love. The roads here know my footsteps. The landmarks whisper stories of who I was and how I’ve grown. Even my high school still stands, though it now welcomes younger children as an elementary school. Time has shifted things, yet the essence remains. This place carries a flavor all its own—a sacred imprint of belonging. And yet, as I sit in this place called “home,” I realize something deeper. Home is not confined to wood and brick. It is not limited to a physical address. Home is something we create, something we carry, something we become.

I have homes scattered all across this country. Not houses, but sacred spaces formed through connection. A shared laugh with a stranger who became a friend. A quiet moment with an animal whose eyes spoke understanding. A gathering where hearts opened and love flowed freely. These moments, these connections, have built homes within me. This land beneath my feet is one kind of home—solid, rooted, and rich with memory. But the homes in my heart? They are alive, ever-expanding, woven together by love. And perhaps that is the truest definition of home.

Dear Angels, how do we understand where home truly is, especially when we feel pulled in many directions or disconnected from a physical place?

Dear Ones, we invite you to soften your definition of home. You have been taught to associate it with a location, a dwelling, a place where your belongings rest. Yet we tell you now—home is far more expansive than that. Home is resonance. It is the feeling that rises within you when you are aligned with love, with peace, with truth. It is the warmth in your chest when you are seen and accepted. It is the quiet knowing that you belong, not because of where you stand, but because of who you are.

You carry home within you at all times. When you anchor into your heart, when you choose compassion, when you extend kindness—you are home. When you connect with another soul in authenticity, you create home. When you stand in nature and feel at one with all that is, you remember home. The physical places you cherish are reflections of the love you experienced there. Honor them, yes—but do not limit yourself to them. You are not meant to live in one place alone. You are meant to expand, to connect, to gather pieces of love from every encounter and weave them into your being. In this way, you become home. And wherever you go, home goes with you.

Angels Whisper: Home is not where you return—it is what you carry. In every act of love, in every moment of presence, you are already there.
