There's A Lot of Good People Out There

“There's a lot of bad people in this world I’m sure, but there's many many more good people

and I’ll tell you if you look on social media they're out there. People are trying to help others make a difference and pushing this message out there; and changes are happening and that shows you

that the good outweighs the bad every time, every time.” Joseph Petito

Last year the world was shaken by the story of a young beautiful 22-year-old who was so full of vitality and enthusiasm as she shared her adventures of traveling through America. What she showed on camera was one thing. Behind the camera she was in a tumultuous relationship that ended in her death and being left in the desert area of Wyoming. I watched a documentary where her father expressed his desire to turn the tragedy of her death into a positive by helping others who find themselves in an abusive relationship. The family created a foundation in Gabby’s name and has partnered with the National Domestic Violence Hotline to reach more people in need of help. Having a history of abuse in my own personal life, I am grateful to hear how this tragedy has resulted in benefitting so many in a positive way.

Dear Angels, it is never easy to lose a loved one but when it is so senseless and the circumstances so horrific, it is difficult to keep a good perspective and not fall into an energy which takes the focus off the bright light that person was in the world. How can we forgive such horrible acts and stop ourselves from dwelling on the event?

Dear Ones, aways honor your human emotions. They are what teaches you as you go through the various experiences on Earth. However, there is a vast difference between honoring and obsession. Acknowledge what you are feeling without judgment and criticism. Emotions will not settle a situation. The only way to bring resolution to an event in your life is to stay in your power and Divine authenticity. Don’t bury your head and let abuse keep on happening once you are aware of it. Focusing on the abuser will only keep the energy of abuse stirred up and give them more attention. Instead, Dear Ones, go into your heart center and open to the energy of forgiveness. Whether the abuse happened to you or to a loved one, the emotional impact of it is creating a tethered connection with the act itself. That is the cord that is needing to be cut. Keeping that cord active is offering a channel to pour salt into the wound. Close off the opportunity for the abuse to do any more damage than what has already been done. Focus only on love, which never intentionally hurts. Allow unconditional love to fill the hole in your heart where you held those low vibrations. You will find the shift is exactly what is needed to find peace, joy and happiness.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to focus on the good being done in the world and search for how I can add to that good with my words and deeds.
