Thanks Giving

“Be grateful for every single person who was part of your story. The ones that hurt you. The ones that helped you. Because they all taught you.” – Yasmin Mogahed

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day here in the US. I have little recollection of what it was like for me as a child. We were that family who had little to be shared among all the siblings. I remembered that later in life, however, when I participated in surprising a friend who was struggling. Several of us went together to make sure the family had provisions for a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. We quietly delivered the package to their front door and the last person to leave rang the doorbell and ran. We don’t know what the reaction was but I can only imagine. We didn’t do it for the thanks, we did it for the giving. That is my most precious Thanksgiving memory. I’m not sharing this story out of ego, but rather to inspire all of us to look at what we can do when motivated to make the world a better place. Yasmin also says, ““Be grateful for the wound that pushes you towards God.” Sometimes it is in remembering the lowest points in our lives that we find our way to what is truly important – our relationship with our Creator.

Dear Angels, there is so much I would like to do with my life. I think of those who are alone during the holidays, those who cannot afford to be with family or even the families who cannot afford to have necessities such as a nutritious meal. I am grateful for each meal that I have. I am grateful for friends who insist that I join them for family celebrations and traditions. Keep placing the burden in my heart, angels, for me to take action and do whatever I can to help others.

Dear Ones, what you are referring to is inspired action. When you use your intuition to move forward in life, you will be guided to those experiences where you will indeed be given the opportunity to make choices that will benefit you as well as others you encounter. That inspiration can come from things in your previous life experience or from a deep compassionate heart center that is open to serve. Whenever you give, do so without expectation or agenda. Giving freely from your heart ensures that the gift contains unconditional love and both the giver and receiver will be blessed beyond measure. We encourage you, Dear Ones, to just love each other. Stop the bickering, the judging and criticism and only allow love and light to enter your heart.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to keep giving and to hold only love in my heart.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
