SHAPED NOT SHATTERED

Broken mirror with wooden frame reflects trees and blue sky. Shattered glass creates a fragmented pattern, evoking a mood of disruption.

"I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it." – Maya Angelou

When I look back over the last three months of my journey, I am reminded of the song Seasons in the Sun. I’ve had joy, I’ve had fun… but those were just seasons out of time. None of the seasons were perfect, yet the perfection reveals itself in how each experience shaped me. Each country carried its own rhythm of ups and downs, and I am genuinely grateful for both. We learn through contrast. The down moments become our greatest teachers, asking us to look deeper, to pause, to choose again. The up moments soften our landings and leave a lasting warmth in our hearts. Together, they weave wisdom. I was reminded of this truth vividly while leaving India. At the airport, I had a difficult experience—being scammed simply because I did not know the language and looked like a foreigner asking for help. For a moment, frustration tried to take hold. Yet in that very same place, the angels were also at work. An earth angel appeared and helped me rearrange my bags, saving me from an unexpected $200 fee. Another gently guided me ahead of the crowds so I could catch my connecting flight, which I nearly missed due to delays. I boarded just before the doors closed—the very last passenger. And upon arriving in London, yet another tender-hearted earth angel bent the rules so my friends could stay with me, even though it was technically “not allowed.” It struck me deeply that there is often a sacred balance between our lessons and our blessings. The angels do not promise a life free of challenge, but they do promise presence, protection, and grace when we are willing to see it. If I had chosen to focus only on the difficult moments of these last two days of travel, my story would be steeped in low-vibration energy. Instead, I consciously choose love and gratitude—two of the highest frequencies we can embody. This, Dear Ones, is a choice we are invited to make every single day.

Do we see the glass half empty… or half full?

Dear Angels, how do we allow ourselves to be changed by life’s experiences without feeling diminished by them?

Dear Ones, you are here to be shaped, not shattered. Each experience you encounter is a teacher, not a verdict on your worth. When life presses against you, it is inviting expansion, not reduction. The moments that challenge you strengthen your discernment, deepen your compassion, and clarify your truth. Do not measure your journey by the discomfort of a moment, but by the wisdom you carry forward. You are never alone in the lessons. We place helpers along your path—earth angels and unseen guides—so that even in difficulty, grace walks beside you. When you choose gratitude over grievance, you rise above the lesson and receive its gift. You are always more than what happens to you.

Angels Whisper: Let life change you, but never let it convince you that you are less. Every experience polishes your light—if you choose to see it.

Today, I promise to look at each experience for what it is – a teacher.
