AWAKENING THE ANGEL WITHIN

“The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.”  James Allen

I have always been fascinated by dreams. There is something so mysterious and magical about closing our eyes, drifting off to sleep, and entering a world where anything seems possible. We can fly without wings, visit places we have never been, reconnect with loved ones who have transitioned, and experience adventures that defy everything we know about our waking reality.

When I was a young girl in school, I frequently had a recurring dream that was so vivid it seemed absolutely real. I would dream that I had awakened, gotten out of bed, dressed for school, and was ready to begin my day. Every little detail was there. I could see my surroundings, feel myself moving through my morning routine, and genuinely believe I was awake. Then, just as I was feeling quite accomplished, my mother would come into my room and wake me up! Oh, the disappointment of realizing I had to do it all over again! This happened more times than I could count.

Throughout my life, I have experienced just about every kind of dream imaginable. I have dreamed of falling, running from something I couldn't identify, screaming without making a sound, and even laughing so hard that I awakened myself with my own laughter. Now, that is a wonderful way to start the day!

Scientists have spent decades studying dreams, and while there is still much we do not understand, research suggests that the emotions we experience while dreaming can be just as intense and real as those we feel while awake. Fear, joy, sadness, excitement, and love do not simply disappear when we close our eyes. Our minds continue to process experiences, memories, and emotions as we sleep. But I believe there is something even more profound happening.

What if our dreams are not merely random images dancing through our sleeping minds? What if some of them are whispers from our souls, invitations to explore possibilities beyond our current understanding? What if, in those quiet hours when the conscious mind finally stops trying to control everything, Spirit has an opportunity to speak?

I have often awakened from a dream with a feeling that stayed with me long after the details faded. Sometimes there was a message, sometimes a sense of reassurance, and other times simply a knowing that something important had taken place. I have learned not to dismiss those experiences simply because I cannot explain them.

James Allen's beautiful words remind us that there is another kind of dreaming that deserves our attention. It is the dream we carry in our hearts while we are wide awake. Think about the mighty oak tree. Everything that tree will ever become is contained within a tiny acorn. It does not look like a towering oak. It cannot yet provide shade or shelter. Yet the potential is there, waiting for the right conditions to unfold. Isn't that a beautiful picture of our own lives? Every great accomplishment begins as something unseen. Before there is a masterpiece, there is an idea. Before there is a journey, there is a longing. Before there is a miracle, there is often a quiet whisper that says, "What if?"

The Peace On Earth Tour was a dream placed in my heart. I could not have imagined all the roads I would travel, the beautiful souls I would meet, or the miracles that would unfold along the way. I simply knew that I was being called to do something greater than my understanding. That tiny seed of a dream grew through faith, trust, surrender, and a willingness to take the next step even when I could not see the entire path. And now, having completed the journey through all fifty states, I look back in amazement at what grew from that one little seed. The dream did not arrive with a detailed instruction manual. It arrived as a calling. God provided the opportunities, the people, and the guidance as I moved forward. Perhaps that is how all dreams are meant to unfold. We do not have to know how the oak will grow. We simply have to be willing to plant the acorn.

Sometimes we abandon our dreams because they seem too big, too unrealistic, or too far beyond our reach. We allow the voices of doubt to convince us that we are not capable or worthy. Yet the angels continually remind us that divine possibilities are not limited by human understanding. There is a waking angel stirring within each of us, just as James Allen so beautifully expressed. It is that divine spark that remembers who we truly are, even when our human minds have forgotten.

So, dear friends, whether you are dreaming while peacefully asleep or holding a cherished vision in your heart during the day, pay attention. Listen to what stirs your soul. Notice what brings you joy and what keeps calling you forward. And perhaps, most importantly, do not be afraid to dream a little bigger. After all, the mighty oak was once just a tiny acorn with an enormous future.

Dear Angels, how do we know which dreams are simply creations of our sleeping minds and which ones are messages from Spirit? And how can we nurture the dreams that God has planted within our hearts?

Dear Ones, every dream carries an opportunity for awareness, whether it comes to you in the stillness of sleep or in the quiet longing of your awakened heart.

Do not become so concerned with interpreting every image or understanding every detail that you miss the beauty of the experience. Sometimes a dream is simply your mind releasing the burdens of the day. Sometimes it offers insight into emotions that have been hidden beneath the surface. And sometimes, dear ones, you may recognize a gentle spiritual invitation that brings peace, clarity, or inspiration.

You will recognize what is meaningful not through fear or urgency, but through the quiet resonance of your heart. Divine guidance does not require you to struggle for understanding. It invites you to become still, to listen, and to trust. As for the dreams you carry within your soul, remember that no seed becomes a mighty tree overnight. There is a season for planting, a season for nurturing, and a season for blossoming. Even when nothing appears to be happening, growth may be taking place beneath the surface.

Do not compare your dream to another's journey. Do not dig up the seed each day to see whether it has grown. Water it with faith. Nourish it with love. Give it the sunlight of gratitude and the gentle patience of trust. And when the time comes to take a step forward, take it with courage. You are not required to see the entire journey. You are simply invited to trust the One who placed the dream within your heart. We are beside you as you awaken to the magnificent possibilities of your divine existence.

You are the dreamer, beloved ones, and you are also part of God's beautiful dream of love made manifest.

Angels Whisper: Beloved, never underestimate the power of a dream planted in a willing heart. The acorn does not question whether it can become an oak, nor does the bird doubt the wings waiting within its shell. Trust the divine seed within you. What you nurture with love, faith, and inspired action may one day become the very miracle you once only dreamed was possible.

Today, I promise to remember my magnificence whether I am awake or dreaming.
