Keep It Simple Sweetie

I had to smile when I was led to this quote tonight. Angels, you really know how to show your message so clearly and concisely, don’t you? When I decided to say my yes to the universe and step out on my journey, I heard loud and clear to get rid of every nonessential thing. It was no easy task. I gave so much stuff away and that was easy for me to do. I tried giving more away but no one was taking it. I tried selling things and no one was buying it. I looked around in my little cave and said, “well, angels, you told me to get rid of all of this yet here I am with loads of stuff still that has not sold and no one wants. I guess I’ll just call the thrift store and have them come pick it all up!” The very next day everything sold! It was a lesson to me in losing the attachment to it. In letting go of the outcome, I gained the blessing. So many times we feel we have to be in control. We think we know what is best so that is how we proceed with our actions to bring it about in that manner. It is when we humbly say “I don’t know” that doors open. Ego is not standing guard holding the key. In being willing to be unencumbered, things started moving away.
Living a simple life for me has been such a blessing. My needs are few which leaves more room for love to abide. I no longer collect things. Instead, I collect memories – time shared in conversation and loving fun experiences. I do what I envisioned and wrote about many years ago in my book “Hugz ~ Love”. I go happy hunting. I look for the happy in the world and if I’m not finding it, I set about creating it. I set an intention every day to make a difference in this world, to leave a bigger footprint as I travel along.
Dear Angels, I love the message you give over and over again of KISS – keep it simple sweetie. Sometimes it is a struggle to remember this lesson and thoughts get twisted trying to figure out things. How can we remember to apply this in our lives more easily?
Dear Ones, your natural curiosity about how things work does sometimes lead you to the distractions of life and then you have to take the long way to get to the simple solution. You humans have a phrase “back in the day” to refer to a time when things were much simpler and not quite so complicated compared to your present moments. While some things have become easier to accomplish, many have taken away the necessity to think things through. It just appears to work like magic. Remember though, Dear Ones, magic is an illusion. It works off of distraction and leading you to see what the magician wants you to focus on. We encourage you to stay centered and allow the energy to flow with ease and grace. It is not necessary to derail the train to see how it fits on the track.
