“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” —Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Passion is contagious. The “notorious R.B.G.” used her passion and political position to inspire generations of women to fight for gender equality. She was relentless and tenacious. Those are qualities I admire and have come to adapt in my own life. If something is important, then it is worth investing energy into. Like peace … freedom … joy of living. To me, those are worth standing up for.
Dear Angels, what an interesting concept – to fight for peace. I never liked the word fight, even when I was going through several battles with cancer and kept hearing that I should fight. I chose instead to love my body through the struggle. Fighting seems contentious and the opposite of peace. I prefer the word pacifist because it indicates someone who talks through their differences with others instead of fighting. A pacifist is a peacemaker —its Latin origins of pax, or "peace" and facere, "to make" beautifully show this.
Dear Ones, living your life with intention is an ongoing continuous flow of mindful presence and conscious decisions. Living your life with intention creates a tapestry that others look at and admire the beauty of your essence. Remember, your intentions are like seeds that you continuously sow into fertile soil of the Now moment. Your awareness is what nurtures them. Your passion is what brings them to fruition. As you set your intention on making peace or anything else that is your goal, remember that love is where your strength comes from. When you can see that clearly, you see that there is no need to fight. Let love be the victor in every instance of your life. Being a peaceful warrior does not involve going into battle; it is simply opening your heart and allowing love to guide you to be a wonderful peace alchemist.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to rise above all lower vibrations and hold only love in my heart.
