Check Your Tude

We started encountering challenges almost from the very moment we entered our human bodies. It is not an easy thing to come into a dense, heavy physical vessel and learn how to maneuver it – and that is just the beginning of our story! Pretty soon, we begin to see the limitations of living as a human. Since we do not start our lives as fully functioning beings with the ability to eat, walk, talk, reason, etc., it is necessary to go through a learning process. Some of my early childhood memories were of my dad becoming upset with me because of what he called my “attitude.” It was a big mistake to look at him with attitude, to reply to him with attitude, and quite honestly I think I even breathed with attitude according to him! It makes me wonder what his thought process was and how it fit in with how he was parented. The truth about attitude, however, is that it is not just how we feel or think at any given moment. Rather, it is a set of emotions, beliefs, and behaviors and is often the result of experience or upbringing.


Dear Angels, our attitude is a powerful force that shapes our experiences and relationships. The more self-aware we are of our attitude at any given moment, the more likely we are to successfully shift to a more pleasant experience. I have no memory of my father ever following through with his threats that were delivered very colorfully, but I know that it made me more aware of how I expressed my attitude throughout life.


Dear Ones, changing one's attitude is a conscious choice that requires self-awareness and effort. You don’t have to analyze every thought or feeling as you respond to each other, but we encourage you instead to be more mindful in your interactions. Respect each other. Take time to really see each other and express yourself in a compassionate way. The more positive you become in your thoughts and actions, the lighter you become in your energetic field. Do you notice that as you laugh and have meaningful pleasant experiences, you can feel yourself lifting upward? Your vibrational frequency shifts as a result of positivity. Your body will heal faster, and you will find yourself feeling the best you could possibly feel as your mindset is freed of the heaviness of low-vibrational thoughts and emotions. Stay centered in your heart and allow freedom to enter every aspect of your being.
