THE HOOK IN YOUR HAND

“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”  Jesus (Matthew 4:19)

Words matter. We hear this often and repeat it with conviction, but recently I felt called to go deeper into what those words truly mean, especially in light of the prophetic significance surrounding the year 2026, known in the Hebrew calendar as 5786. The Hebrew calendar is unlike the Gregorian calendar most of us follow today. In Hebrew tradition, numbers are also letters, and each letter carries symbolic imagery and spiritual meaning. Because of this, every year—and even every decade—holds layers of prophetic revelation. We are currently living in the decade connected to the Hebrew letter Pey (5780–5789), often called the decade of the mouth. Pey represents speech, breath, prayer, prophecy, declaration, and the creative power released through words. It is a reminder that what we speak is never empty. Words carry energy. They plant seeds. They either create healing or deepen division.

Within this decade, the year 5786 is associated with the Hebrew letter Vav, meaning hook or nail. Vav symbolizes connection, joining together, and linking heaven with earth. It carries the imagery of a hook drawing things inward—much like Jesus’ invitation to His disciples when He said they would become “fishers of men.” Together, these symbols form a profound message for this season: your mouth is your hook. Every word spoken has the power to gather or scatter. A harsh word can wound deeply, while a loving word can restore a weary soul. Prayer can lift someone from despair. Encouragement can awaken purpose. Truth spoken in love can bring reconciliation where division once lived.

Dear Angels, the hook in our hand reminds us that every conversation, whether gentle or firm, is meant to gather and reconcile rather than scatter or shame. How do we speak truth boldly while still seasoning our words with grace?

Dear Ones, when the noise of division becomes loud, walking closely with God keeps you centered in peace. When anger rises around you, closeness with the Divine brings wisdom and clarity. Without that sacred connection, words become reactions fueled by fear and pride. But with God at the center, your words become fruitful and life-giving.

This prophetic message is not difficult to understand because it speaks directly into the world you are living in now—a world that often feels divided, angry, and eager to choose sides. Yet this is precisely why your words matter so deeply. You are being reminded that what leaves your mouth carries spiritual weight. Your words can either add to the noise of hostility or align with your greater purpose: oneness with God. Expansion is happening. Fruitfulness is available. But for these promises to take root, your foundation must be strengthened through unity, integrity, and love. The hook God has placed in your hand was never meant for tearing one another apart. It was meant to draw hearts closer—to each other and to Him.

You are being called to walk steadily with God in a shaken world. To live by faith when fear presses in. To remain anchored in love when chaos demands reaction. To seek God’s approval rather than the applause of the crowd. There is still much of this Hebrew year 5786 unfolding before you. Perhaps this is the moment to pause and reflect upon the ways your words are shaping your life. Ask yourself where healing is needed. Ask how your voice can become an instrument of peace, unity, and restoration. And when the overwhelm of conflict and division threatens to pull you off center, return to your heart. Call upon us. Breathe deeply. Remember the hook in your hand. How are you using it?
