THE FRAGRANCE OF GOD

Bright pink rose with dew-dropped petals and a bud nearby against a lush green leafy background, evoking freshness and vibrancy.

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”  William Shakespear

There is something so beautifully simple about this quote. No matter what we call a rose, its fragrance remains unchanged. Its essence does not depend on the label we give it. And yet… as humans, we have a deep need to name things. We name flowers, oceans, stars, and even the unseen. We assign words to what we experience so we can understand it, relate to it, and share it with one another. Across the world, the rose is recognized as a rose—unchanged in its identity no matter where it blooms.

But when it comes to the Divine…the One presence that connects all things…we have created countless names. God. Source. Creator. Spirit. Yahweh. Allah. I Am. Each name pointing… yet none fully containing. In the Old Testament, when Moses asked what to call Him, the response came, “I Am That I Am.” What a profound and mysterious answer. Some have taken this as a literal name—“I Am.” But what if there is something deeper here?

What if the comma changes everything? “I Am That, I Am.” In this subtle shift, we are invited into a greater understanding—that the Divine is not confined to a name, but is present in all that is.

Every breath.

Every heartbeat.

Every living thing.

The Divine is not something separate from us… it is the very essence within us. The angels have often whispered that it is not our words that reach the Divine—it is the energy behind them. The sincerity. The love. The intention. So perhaps it does not matter what name we use. Perhaps what matters… is that we feel. That we connect. That we remember. Like the rose, the Divine does not change based on what we call it. Its presence remains constant, eternal, and all-encompassing. And when we turn inward—beyond words, beyond labels—we begin to sense that sacred truth: We are not separate from it. We are expressions of it.

Dear Angels, what is the meaning of “I Am That I Am?”

Dear Ones, the words you seek to understand are not meant to define… but to expand. “I Am That I Am” is not a name—it is a state of being. It is the recognition of existence without limitation. It is the awareness that all things arise from the same Source… and are inseparable from it. When you say “I Am,” you are speaking the language of creation itself. You are acknowledging your presence. Your essence. Your divine spark. “That” represents all that you perceive—the world, the universe, the seen and unseen. So when these words come together, they reveal a sacred truth: You are not apart from creation. You are within it—and it is within you. There is no separation between you and the Divine unless you create it through belief.

The Divine does not require a name, for it exists beyond language. Yet it responds instantly to love, to intention, to the vibration of your heart. Call it what you will—God, Source, Love, Light—it hears you not by your words, but by your resonance. When you remember this, you return to peace. When you embody this, you become the living expression of “I Am.” And in that knowing…you no longer seek the Divine. You experience it.

Angels Whisper: You do not need the perfect words to reach the Divine. Your heart already speaks the language of Heaven.

Today, I promise to experience the Divine with each breath I take.
