BE GOD’S CANVAS

Late this afternoon it turned cloudy here in Colorado. The blue sky was overtaken by a huge black cloud that covered almost as far as the eye could see. It looked menacing and I watched it as I drove back to my friend’s house. It was getting late and I knew the sun was getting ready to set so I watched as the edges of the cloud were outlined in brilliance from the sun moving. I decided to pull off at one of the open spaces that are interspersed throughout this beautiful state. I sat in awe as the sun played peek-a-boo for a bit before eventually showing itself beneath the black cloud to make its way to the horizon. I said a thank you out loud to God for what I was witnessing. I even called my sister Billie so she could watch the sunset with me. When something that glorious happens, you just want to share it with another being. What an awesome painting God did tonight. I felt humbled and grateful to be here in this place to experience it. It reminded me how sometimes our light is hidden by the dark clouds of life. When we finally emerge from that cloud, the beauty that shines through is unmatched by anything else in life. Just as that sun came through, we make it through some of the darkest times possible as we journey on this earth through challenge after challenge. On the other side of those fires we can say, “I’m still standing. I’m still here and nothing can dim my shine.”

Dear Angels, those dark moments we encounter in our earthly journey are all part of the divine plan to help us understand what love is all about. How can we keep that perspective when it seems like they are a punishment or attack?

Dear Ones, life was never meant to be something you merely observe from a distance. You came into this world to feel, to touch, to fall, to rise, to laugh until tears stream down your face and to cry until compassion awakens within your soul. The deepest wisdom cannot be gained by standing outside the experience. It is born through walking directly through the fire and discovering that your spirit was stronger than your fear.

Imagine if your entire existence consisted only of watching life unfold as though it were a picture upon a screen. You might witness beauty, sorrow, triumph and love, but you would never truly know them. You would not feel the trembling of uncertainty before a leap of faith, nor the joy that comes when your heart discovers hope again after despair. Observation may bring knowledge, but experience brings transformation.

Every challenge you face, every relationship you nurture, every disappointment and every miracle carries a sacred lesson woven specifically for your soul’s evolution. Even the moments you wish you could avoid are often the very moments that awaken compassion, wisdom and strength within you. It is through living that you discover who you truly are.

Do not fear the emotions that arise from your earthly journey. Your tears soften the heart. Your laughter expands the spirit. Your struggles deepen your understanding of others. These experiences are not punishments; they are invitations to grow closer to Divine truth.

Beloved, do not stand at the edge of your life merely watching it pass by. Step fully into the moment before you. Love deeply. Forgive freely. Dream courageously. Allow yourself to experience the fullness of being human, for it is through these sacred experiences that your soul remembers its light. Watch your light shine brighter as it emerges from the struggles just as the sun shines brighter when it emerges from the clouds.

Angels Whisper: Life is not meant to be watched from behind the safety of a window. Your soul came here to dance in the rain, to stumble and rise again, to feel love expand your heart and challenges strengthen your spirit. Every experience carries a sacred gift, and every emotion is a brushstroke upon the masterpiece of your becoming. Trust the journey, Dear One, for through living fully, your light shines most brightly.

Today, I promise to shine through the dark times of life and stand tall through all of them.
