SACRED PRESENCE

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you." —Anne Lamott

These days, it has become increasingly difficult to find a table in a restaurant where people are truly together. Often, they sit side by side, yet worlds apart—eyes downcast, fingers scrolling, conversations replaced by glowing screens. The irony is striking: we are more connected than ever, yet so deeply disconnected from the moment, from one another, and from ourselves. I found myself reflecting on this today during a conversation with a new friend and my dear friend Nivrittee. She shared something that stayed with me. She said the recent workshop I facilitated in her home felt especially successful—not just because of the teachings or the experiences shared, but because no one was picking up their phones. For two full days, there was presence. There was eye contact. There was laughter, listening, sharing, and heartfelt connection. As she spoke, I could feel the truth of it ripple through me. That gentle, spacious feeling that comes when the nervous system exhales. That remembering of who we are when we are not constantly responding, reacting, or reaching outward for stimulation. It became clear: what felt so nourishing about that weekend wasn’t only the spiritual work—it was the unplugging. And perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves right now.

Dear Angels, in a world that never seems to turn off, how do we remember to unplug, reconnect, and truly be present—with ourselves and with one another?

Dear Ones, we walk with you gently as you navigate a world filled with noise, signals, and endless invitations for your attention. Your devices are tools, but you were never meant to be tethered to them. Your soul requires pauses—moments of stillness where your spirit can stretch, breathe, and remember its rhythm. When you unplug, even briefly, you return to the sacred cadence of life. You begin to hear again—the laughter across the table, the whisper of your own heart, the subtle guidance that flows when the mind is not crowded. Presence is not something you must earn; it is something you allow. Connection is not found in screens but in shared breath, in listening eyes, in the courage to be fully here. Each time you choose to set aside distraction, you open a doorway to deeper compassion—first for yourself, and then for all those around you. Give yourselves permission to rest from the constant pull. Step away, even for a few minutes. You will remember that love, clarity, and peace have been waiting patiently within you all along. We are always near, especially in the quiet moments you create.

Angels Whisper: Beloved, unplug not to escape life, but to return to it. In presence, your soul reawakens—and everything begins to flow again.

Today, I promise to stay aware of the need to unplug to be fully present.
