NO BACKUP PLAN NEEDED

“Getting back up is the only backup plan you need.” Jimi Bell, Jon Sherwood, and Tucker Beathard
I recently heard this song as I was driving East toward Michigan. I know I have heard I before but it hit different this time. I think that’s the way it works, really. We are at different vibrations thoughout our lives so even though we hear words at some point they may not register but then we can be coming through a different experience – one of our “fires” of life – and we get the lightbulb moment. The words from this song are so poignant:
“So if you got a fire, don't lose it
If you got a do-or-die dream, do it
If you got something to prove, go on and prove it
Don't let nobody clip your wings
Keep your head down, keep on the blinders
Tune out the doubters and all the closed minders
If it's in your blood
Fallin' down ain't enough to change who you were born to be
Gettin' back up, that's the only backup plan you need.”
We fall. We falter. We forget our strength. But just as the sun rises without fail, we too are made to rise. It is etched into our spirit like stardust in the sky. We are not defined by our falls, but by the courage it takes to stand again—bruised, wiser, and more radiant in our resilience. Getting back up is the soul’s declaration: “I am not done.” It is the whisper of your ancestors, the encouragement of angels, the soft chant of your inner fire. There is no shame in stumbling. The only true failure would be to forget who you are—a child of light with eternal wings. Each setback is not a signal to surrender, but an invitation to become. To unfold. To rise anew.
Dear Angels, why does life sometimes feel like an endless series of challenges? How do we find the strength to keep getting back up when we're so tired? I hear a lot of people today expressing this tiredness and questioning how to keep on keeping on. We need guidance.
Dear Ones, you came into this world not to be unshaken, but to discover how deeply rooted your spirit truly is. Life is not a punishment or a test—it is a dance of discovery. Each challenge, each fall, is a doorway. Behind it is your remembrance. You are not weak for being weary. You are brave for continuing anyway. When you get back up, you are aligning with the heartbeat of the universe. Every time you rise after falling, you summon angels near. We rush to your side not because we doubt you, but to remind you of what you forgot - that you are made of divine perseverance. There is power in your persistence. Grace in your grit. And each time you choose to rise, you raise the world with you.
Angels Whisper: When your knees touch the earth in surrender, the heavens bend low to lift you. Rise, beloved. Your wings remember the way.
Today, I promise to keep on keeping on even in the face of challenges. I will always get back up.
