GOING THROUGH CHANGES

“Change the changeable, accept the unchangeable, and remove yourself from the unacceptable.” Denis Waitley
There is one thing we can be certain of in this human journey—change will come. It moves like the tides, sometimes gently coming onshore, and other times crashing in waves we never saw coming. Some changes we welcome with open arms. A new beginning, a fresh opportunity, a reflection in the mirror that brings a smile instead of a sigh. These are the moments when change feels like a gift, wrapped in hope and tied with excitement.
But what about the changes that don’t feel like gifts? Recently, I experienced one of those unexpected shifts. Since childhood, I have loved nuts—every kind, every flavor. They have been a staple, especially during my travels across this beautiful country. A simple Ziploc bag filled with my favorite mix has been my trusted road companion. And then… change. My body began to speak in a way I could no longer ignore. Discomfort. Digestive issues. Signals that something was no longer aligned. And tonight, it was confirmed—my body can no longer process nuts. Not a welcome change. It’s funny how something that seems so small can feel so significant. It wasn’t just about food—it was about familiarity, comfort, routine. It was about something that had always been “mine.” And yet… here we are. Change has happened.
So what do we do when life shifts in ways we didn’t choose? We are given three sacred paths:
Change what we can
Accept what we cannot
Remove ourselves from what no longer serves us
There is wisdom in knowing the difference. Sometimes we are called to take action—to make a change, to adjust, to grow. Other times, we are invited into surrender, into acceptance, into trusting that what is happening is part of a greater unfolding. And then there are those moments when something simply does not belong in our lives anymore. Not because we failed. Not because it is wrong. But because we have outgrown it. Even something as simple as a favorite snack.
Dear Ones, change is not here to punish you. It is here to refine you.
It asks: Are you willing to listen? Are you willing to trust? Are you willing to let go of what once was, to make space for what now wants to be?
Because every ending—no matter how small—creates space for a new beginning.
Dear Angels, how do we gracefully navigate the changes we do not want, especially when they feel like a loss?
Dear Ones, what you perceive as loss is often a loving redirection. Your soul is always in communication with your body, your circumstances, and your experiences. When something changes without your consent, it is not a punishment—it is guidance. It is your higher wisdom saying, “This no longer supports who you are becoming.” You grieve not the thing itself, but the comfort, the memory, the identity attached to it. Allow yourself that moment of tenderness. But do not linger in the illusion that something valuable has been taken from you. Nothing that is truly meant for you can ever be removed. It can only be transformed.
When change arrives uninvited, don’t ask, “Why is this happening to me?” Instead, gently ask, “What is this making space for?” There is always an opening. There is always a new pathway being prepared. Trust the intelligence within your own being. Your body is not betraying you—it is protecting you. Your life is not restricting you—it is refining you. Grace comes when you release resistance and step into curiosity. You are not losing—you are evolving. And in that evolution, you will discover new comforts, new joys, and new ways of nourishing yourself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Angels Whisper: Trust the changes that guide you away from what no longer serves you. Even in the letting go, you are being lovingly led toward something greater.
Today, I promise to be more gentle with myself when change occurs.
