GOD SPEAKS IN THE STILLNESS

“Be still, and know that I am God.” –Psalm 46:10

This is among the top verses in the Bible that I love. There is a sacred invitation within these words—one that calls us not to do, but simply to be.

To be still. To be present. To remember.

There are moments when I sit quietly, not asking for anything, not seeking answers, but simply resting in the presence of the Creator. In that stillness, something magical happens. The noise of the world fades, and what remains is a deep sense of connection—a knowing that I am never alone. Yes, there are times when I bring questions into that space. But more often, I find that the stillness itself is the answer. It wraps around me like a warm embrace, reminding me of who I truly am beyond the distractions, beyond the busyness, beyond the roles I play in this world.

When I reflect on my life, I can clearly see the times when I wandered off my path. It was never because I lost my worth or my connection—it was because I became distracted. Caught up in the “bling” of the world. Pulled into the drama that seems to swirl endlessly around us. Isn’t it interesting how easily we can create drama, even when none exists? Yet, within each of us is a sanctuary—a place of peace that is always available. A place where truth resides. A place where love is the only language spoken.

I have always felt a deep tenderness for all beings, especially animals. Their innocence, their presence, their ability to simply be is something we can learn so much from. I remember my beloved cat, Gizmo, who would join me in meditation. He didn’t question it. He didn’t analyze it. He simply settled into the energy, as if he knew… this is home. I would hold him gently, acknowledging his presence as we sat together in that quiet space. And in those moments, there was no separation—just peace, shared and expanded. Our animals feel our energy. They respond to the calm within us. When we become still, they soften. When we are peaceful, they trust. They remind us that stillness is not empty—it is full of life, awareness, and connection.

So today, I invite you…

Not to escape the world, but to remember who you are within it.

Dear Angels, how can we find true stillness in a world that feels so busy and distracting?

Dear Ones, stillness is not found outside of you—it is remembered within you. The world will continue to move, to sparkle, to call for your attention. Yet you have the ability to choose where your awareness rests. Even in the midst of activity, you can pause your thoughts, soften your breath, and return to the center of your being. Stillness is your natural state. It is the doorway through which you feel us, hear us, and know the truth of who you are. Come back to it often, and you will never feel lost.

Angels WhisperIn the quiet of your heart, you will always find your way home.

Today, I promise to take more time to sit in the stillness and know God more fully.
