ENTER GOD’S LIVING ROOM

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:13

One of the great pleasures I have had while here in Hawaii is plenty of time to sit in nature and meditate. To me, meditation is all about seeking, a desire to know more, to understand more fully and to obtain clarity on things that have been fuzzy. This verse came to mind and I asked the angels about it as it is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. There are many times when my heart longs to find that closer walk with God and then there are the times when the things of the world keep me distracted and pulled from that closeness. I don’t think I am alone in experiencing this. We live in a world where there are shiny objects that catch our attention. We are so busy being busy that it is just what we expect to happen on a daily basis. We forget that we are the ones in control and each decision we make is solely ours. I remind myself constantly that I am the one who has to answer for what I say and do – no one else.

Dear Angels, I have known this verse all my life and now it seems to hit differently when I read it. What has changed or shifted with the meaning or energy of these words?

Dear Ones, God was speaking to the Israelites who were in exile. He assured them that restoration would come, but the key was their wholehearted seeking. It’s not about half-efforts, rituals, or surface-level faith. To “seek with all your heart” means making God your priority—longing for Him above everything else. When you sit quietly and ask for answers, you are seeking with all your heart. When you throw up a quick prayer in the middle of your busy day or in a moment where things are not going your way, you are on the surface level and actually being disrespectful. When your seeking flows from love, trust, and surrender—not obligation or fear – you are taking a deeper dive. It’s about a heart-to-heart connection, not just checking a spiritual box. When you seek God wholeheartedly, you open every part of your life to Him—your desires, wounds, doubts, and hopes. That kind of seeking leads to transformation, because God’s presence changes you from the inside out. The finding is not just “information about God” but an encounter with Him. Look at it as visiting a friend and standing in the doorway talking as opposed to coming inside and sitting down face to face for a heartfelt intimate conversation. God has issued an open invitation to intimacy, peace, and guidance, especially in seasons where you feel lost, exiled, or far from home.

Angels Whisper: Dear One, when you turn your gaze inward with love and trust, you will discover that the One you seek has already found you. God is not far off—He lives in the depths of your heart, waiting to embrace you fully when you come with openness and surrender.

Today, I promise to walk through the door and sit in the presence of God for deeper conversation.
