Today, as I drove through the rolling beauty of the Poconos, the mountains rose in quiet majesty, their green shoulders draped in the soft veil of summer haze. Out of the stillness came a tender voice from the radio — Lauren Alaina — singing a tribute to her stepfather who had passed. The lyric that caught my breath was "And go write a story that you can't wait to tell me on the other side." In that moment, the road seemed to still. I thought of my own loved ones who now walk in the light of eternity. How would I want them to remember me when my earthly journey is complete? The answer came swiftly — this lyric said it perfectly. I would want my parting gift to be an invitation to go, live boldly. Gather moments that fill your soul. Write a story so full of love, adventure, kindness, and joy that you can’t wait to share it with me when we meet again.
Dear Angels, how can we live each day in such a way that our life becomes a beautiful story worth telling on the other side?
Dear Ones, you are already writing your story — not with pen and paper, but with every thought you think, every word you speak, and every choice you make. Do not wait for grand gestures or perfect timing. Life’s most treasured chapters are written in the ordinary moments — the smile you offer to a stranger, the forgiveness you extend when it is hardest, the courage you summon to follow your heart. Live not in fear of the ending but in joy for the unfolding. When your soul crosses into the eternal embrace, the story you bring will not be measured by how long you lived, but by how deeply you loved. So live wide open, Dear One. Make your story rich with compassion, luminous with truth, and radiant with joy. And know that we will be listening, cherishing every word, on both sides of the veil.
