Surrender
Surrender comes when you no longer ask “Why is this happening to me?” This is a line from Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle. How many of us can put aside the ego long enough to learn this lesson? That’s essentially what is necessary here. When others lash out at us, they are coming from an egoistic place where they are seeing something in us that they are reacting to. We are all mirrors of each other. When I look at a beautiful woman, for instance, I have two choices. I can let my ego rule and say, wow she’s so beautiful. I wish I was that beautiful -- OR I can choose to admire the beauty of myself (pure love) as reflected in her. This is a very hard concept for most people. The other part of that is when we see someone as not so nice or pretty we are actually seeing that part of ourselves that harbors something we haven’t dealt with that needs to be brought to the surface, forgiven and released. I know not everyone will agree with this and that’s perfectly okay. All I ask is that you think and be open minded. We are all one. There is no separation other than what we choose to let our egos demand. If that’s the case, then we all contain the same attributes within us. We all have the capability to be beautiful or not so beautiful. So, before you react with “why is this happening to me” try surrendering your ego and put on your love armor by sending them love and light. Your best defense and offense is to show love. There really is only love and lack of love – period. I love you! Hugz~Love
