Hershey's Kisses And Miracles

We came so close to not having Hershey Chocolate. Imagine a life without Hershey’s Kisses, right? Milton was supposed to return to America on the fated ship Titanic during its maiden voyage. Instead, he canceled his ticket and returned a week earlier. Fate? Intuition? Divine intervention? One of those things that make you go hmmm! In speaking with my dear friend Ruth today and sharing that this weekend I will be attending a celebration held by the hospital where I received my kidney transplant, she shed tears as she expressed how grateful she was that things turned out the way they did. It could have been so different. In her words, she said that some people get the second chance at life and certainly appreciate it, but then there are those who receive that second chance and set out to change the world.
Dear Angels, I feel like I was given a new heart in addition to a kidney. I could see with new vision and feel with new passion. A person changes when a gift so monumental is received. I do know how very blessed I am to even be alive at this point. Statistics show the average life expectancy after a kidney transplant is 15-20 years. I have more than doubled that! I want to believe that I have not wasted my miracle but instead have used it to bring more joy and love into the world … kinda like Mr. Hershey did.
Dear Ones, when you are given a chance to make a difference in the world, your choices are yes or no. Some of you are given many opportunities to shine your light brightly, yet you choose to keep your light dimmed. You will not be forced to take any action. It is totally your choice if you step up or not. You are not judged for your choices, yet you may continue to have an inner nudge that you are constantly aware of. It doesn’t have to take a major event for you to find your passion. You all have the light inside of you and can connect into it at any given moment. When you do find that drive and answer the call to action, you will be filled with a love that is bigger than anything you have ever experienced.
