Grief And Love - Remembering A Friend

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Viktor E. Frankl

It has been a full year now since I last saw my dear friend, Sharron Stroud, in Desert Hot Springs. She was vibrant and enthusiastic about life. We sat together for tea looking out her front window at what she called "my Himalayas." (The picture shows the view she loved so much). We went to the hot springs at night and sat under the stars in hot tubs. Now I am preparing what I want to share with close friends about my time with her and how I viewed her as larger than life. We are preparing to pay our respects to her this weekend. As I think back on how unconditionally she brought me into her home, hugged me and embraced the mission of the Peace On Earth Tour, I just smile at the time spent together. I know I was in the presence of someone special as I spent time with her. I remember her calling me up to the microphone that Sunday morning and she was so excited at what was to take place later in the day – a land blessing that she and her congregation would participate in. I will go revisit that site when I go for the memorial service on Sunday. I will honor her excitement and her lifelong mission for peace on earth. I believe that her soul knew what was coming with the conflict going on in the world today and she is guiding me and others with words that are needed at this turbulent time.

Dear Angels, sometimes in life we just have to hold someone in our hearts because they are no longer with us in the physical world. It is a harsh reality of living as a human being. We have to learn how to let go and still keep the memories and the love alive. We welcome your words of encouragement.

Dear Ones, the human body is quite miraculous. It can withstand many things that attack it from within and without. However, the fact is that it is not built to last forever. It is only the vessel chosen to walk through the life experiences for a little while. Each time you come into the world you learn more about being a part of the oneness. When you can bond both on the physical level and the spiritual level, it is such a beautiful experience. It raises your understanding to a higher plane. Once a member of your soul team is gone in the physical sense, you are left with interacting with them on the spiritual realm where you have already been accustomed to being together. The human heart feels the void while the spiritual self rejoices for the one who has gone on to their next mission. Your loved ones want you to celebrate this with them. They also understand the grief that happens when you miss their presence, unable to sit in conversation or hold them in a hug. It is in the celebration that you will feel them nearer to you. Take your time with honoring your feelings, Dear Ones. When you are ready, celebrate. Laugh, cry, share with others and above all else just love.

Dear Angels, thank you for giving me the exact words I need to hear. I love you. Namaste y’all.
