The Puzzle Picture Of My Life

Puzzle of Life

You have a puzzle piece and so do I;

We carry it with us until we die.

Each piece has a place in God's overall plan

Of what happens to us as woman and man.

All the people we meet and the places we go

Give shape to the picture that we have to show.

So we mingle together and search for a piece

To see if it matches and fits with ease.

Sometimes we think that a piece really goes

Only to find that it just gives us woes;

And we hold on to it for quite a while -

Til we're forced to trade it for another style.

If we pick up a piece and it won't seem to fit,

It may be just perfect after waiting a bit.

Then there's the ones we don't even touch

Because we believe they're not worth very much.

Sometimes we're surprised by what we ignore

When we discover it's what we've looked for.

Thus, we go through life and we pick and we choose

The different pieces we want to use.

At times we seem lost at what choices to make

And amaze ourselves at the chances we take.

We don't have the picture on the boxtop lid

To show future results of things that we did.

And if we ask questions of God's grand design,

'Am I in your puzzle or are you in mine?'

We learn all of these pieces will merge into one

Completing the puzzle when life here is done.

** Poem by WaryDreamer

I sat at lunch today with some very precious friends, Donna and Connia along with Auntie Jean. Our visit was priceless as we chatted away about life. Donna shared a story that she heard from a pastor at “the best funeral I ever attended.” It really touched me and I thought I would share it. When we are born, we each have a big white box. Inside that box are all the puzzle pieces of our lifetime. As we go through life, the puzzle pieces begin to fit together to form the picture of our life. Donna continued with the statement that she was happy to grow old because it meant that she could look at her picture and see all those pieces which had come together so perfectly and there were still some remaining ones to complete the puzzle. I enjoyed this story and the visualization that came forth as I looked at my own puzzle picture of my life.

Dear Angels, I know that there is a Divine plan for each of us as we come into our human experience. Do all the puzzle pieces fit in our completed picture?

Dear Ones, indeed all the puzzle pieces are what you brought with you to be a part of your experience. You put a lot of thought and planning into what you wanted to accomplish with your new lifetime. In that box of puzzle pieces there is also a blank piece. This part of your puzzle is your free will. It will fit in wherever you choose to put it. We encourage you to become the observer during your lifetime of what your puzzle picture looks like. This will help you in making wiser choices and decisions. Perhaps there is a piece you wish to extricate from the picture because the experience was not pleasant or even very difficult. Dear Ones, those experiences helped to shape you. Each experience is important and is an important piece of the puzzle. Love all of them as a wonderful part of your life journey. When you can love the dark, you most certainly can see it for what it is – a wonderful teacher in your life. Embrace your life fully and that puzzle picture will be something you want to frame and sit with in awe and gratitude.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to visit my puzzle picture of my life.
