ILLUSION AND TRUTH

“Not everything is as it seems, and not everything that seems is. Between being and seeming there is always a point of agreement, as if being and seeming were two inclined planes that converge and become one. There is a slope and the possibility of sliding down that slope, and when that happens, one reaches a point at which being and seeming meet.” ― José Saramago
Have you ever looked at a reflection in water, thinking it was real, only to see a ripple distort it? Or walked into a situation believing one thing, only to later realize the truth was entirely different? Life is full of these illusions, where what we think we see is not always what is. The world of “seeming” is the world of appearances, the stories we tell ourselves, the masks we wear, and the assumptions we make. It is the surface of things—shaped by perceptions, emotions, and circumstances. But then, there is “being”—the deeper, unshakable truth beneath it all. Our essence. Our divine nature. Between seeming and being, there is a space where they touch, a sacred point of convergence. It is where truth begins to shine through illusion, and clarity emerges from confusion. But there is also a slope, a place where we might slide unknowingly from truth into deception, from inner knowing into self-doubt. This is the delicate journey of awakening—learning to discern between what appears and what truly is.
Dear Angels, sometimes we slip into seeming without realizing it. We believe the negative thoughts that whisper we are not enough. We mistake external validation for inner worth. We see struggle and think we are abandoned. But these are distortions—shadows cast by fear. When we fall into the illusion of seeming, we may lose our connection to the deeper truth of our soul. We might get caught in cycles of worry, comparison, or false narratives. But the good news is, spirit always calls us back.
Dear Ones, there is always a moment, a divine intersection, where seeming dissolves into being. It happens in stillness, in surrender, in the quiet whispers of your heart. It is the space where the illusion of separateness fades, and you remember that you are never alone. This meeting point is grace. It is where the veil is lifted, and you recognize that even your hardest moments have been guiding you home. It is where you stop seeing with your physical eyes and begin to see with your soul.
Angels Whisper: Not everything is as it seems. And not everything that seems is. But when you allow yourselves to be led by divine wisdom, you no longer fear the slope. Instead, you walk with trust, knowing that the truth is always waiting to reveal itself. Look beyond appearances today. Listen deeper. Ask your heart what is real. And when seeming and being meet, step into the light of truth—you have been there all along.
Today, I promise to strive to “see” more clearly.
