THE LENS OF LOVE

Three smiling women wearing sunglasses in heart-shaped frames. One indoors with posters, another outside on sandy ground. Pink heart collage.

“Just knowing that the world is round

Here I'm dancing on the ground

Am I right side up or upside down?

Is this real or am I dreaming?”  Dave Matthews

Life is often described as one collective dream or a grand movie in which we are all players. There are moments when the script feels off, when we wish we could grab a marker and cross out a few scenes—or perhaps start the dream over entirely with a different ending. As a teacher of manifestation, I smile at that impulse, because it reminds me of a favorite practice I learned from Neville Goddard: visualize the life you desire, see the outcome as already real, feel it settled in your heart—and then let it go. When we release the vision, we allow life to rearrange itself around that inner knowing. When we feel like we are living in the upside-down, chances are we are. Perspective has a way of flipping reality on its head. We put on our judge’s uniform and declare situations, people, or events as “good” or “bad.” Frustration follows when others don’t see it the same way. We begin questioning ourselves, our families, our neighbors, our leaders, wondering why they cannot see what we see. Yet the angels gently remind me of something profound: nothing is inherently good or bad. Everything is neutral until we assign it meaning. Our minds are trained to search the past for similar experiences, to label and categorize as a form of protection. “Ah ha,” we say, “this is bad,” or “this is good.” It’s not wrong. It’s not right. It simply is. When I sit quietly and ask the angels why peace feels so elusive in our world, they always bring me back to this truth. Our human nature seeks comparison, patterns, and conclusions. But peace doesn’t come from judgment—it comes from presence.

Today, I spent Christmas at the beach with members of my spiritual family here in Goa, India. Under the moonlight, with gentle waves washing the shore, we sat together—different cultures, languages, histories—sharing food, laughter, and song. As I looked into their faces, I felt how beautifully different and yet deeply similar we all are. I was seeing them through the eyes of love and acceptance, just as they are. And I knew they were seeing me the same way. That was the real ah ha. When we choose to look through the lens of love rather than the filter of past experience, the world turns right side up again. The dream softens. The dance becomes joyful. And suddenly, we remember why we came here in the first place.

Dear Angels, how do we know if we are living in truth or lost in illusion when the world feels so divided and confusing?

Dear Ones, you are never lost—only learning. The world you experience reflects the lens through which you are looking. When you see through fear, separation appears real. When you see through love, unity reveals itself. There is no need to judge what arises before you. Instead, observe with compassion and curiosity. Truth is not something you must find; it is something you remember. Each time you choose love over judgment, the dream becomes lighter, clearer, and more aligned with your soul’s knowing. Trust your heart—it recognizes reality beyond appearances.

Angels Whisper:

Beloved, adjust the lens, not the world.

When love becomes your filter,

the dream becomes divine,

and you remember—you were never upside down at all.

Today, I promise to keep wearing the lens of love and see the world the way it is, not how I think it should be.
