LIFE IS BRIEF – LOVE IS BOUNDLESS

A few days ago, I was reminded of the fact that there are no guarantees in life. A young life was lost near me this week in a tragic car accident—a beautiful soul full of promise and potential, gone in a blink. The news rippled through the community, striking chords of sorrow and disbelief, reminding each of us just how fragile and fleeting this earthly journey can be. It struck my friend, Ruth, particularly hard as she has two young daughters and immediately was filled with sorrow for the parents. Later that day, I discovered that there is a connection between the mother and my friend, Donna, who is hosting me. She is a coworker and friend. Ruth and I made a point to stop at the crash site and add flowers to the numerous ones present and stop for a moment to pray for the loved ones of this precious child.

Dear Angels, we often forget how quickly the sun can set on a life not fully lived. We get tangled in the minutiae—the small frustrations, the endless waiting, the someday that never seems to come. And yet, life is happening now. This very moment is bursting with possibility, and the world is calling us to experience it fully, courageously, and lovingly.

Dear Ones, what would you do if you truly embraced how short this life is? Would you finally buy the ticket, write the book, speak your truth, forgive the unforgivable, or dance barefoot in the rain? Would you tell someone you love them before they walk out the door? Would you stop holding back and start living forward? The young soul who transitioned this week did not wake up thinking it would be her last sunrise. No one does. That is the bittersweet truth of your human walk—you are never guaranteed tomorrow. And yet, you are constantly gifted today. In the face of tragedy, you are cracked open. The illusion of control shatters. What remains is the sacred invitation to live with greater intention, deeper gratitude, and wide-eyed wonder. To not just survive each day but to savor it. To live as if the world is wide—because it is. And it is brimming with beauty that longs to be touched, tasted, and loved into memory. Do not wait for heartbreak to remind you of what matters. Do not postpone joy. Do not deny yourselves the richness of this wide world. Dear Ones, you are here for a reason. And that reason is not just to get through the day. It is to experience Heaven on Earth—to feel it in a child’s laughter, a sunset sky, a hand held in silence, or the thrill of a dream pursued. So go forward. Live. Let the shortness of life inspire the boldness of your soul. Let the tragedy awaken your tenderness. And let the memory of your loved ones be a spark that ignites your own.

Angels Whisper: do not fear the brevity of life—let it deepen your presence. Let it awaken your passion. Let it move you to love more fiercely, forgive more freely, and explore more fully. The world is wide, and you are meant to fly. Go now, with wings of faith, and write your soul into the sky.

Today, I promise to cherish every moment of every day that I am gifted to be on this earth.
