EVERY DETOUR LEADS TO GRACE

"Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will." – Suzy Kassem

Whenever I come across a quote from someone unfamiliar to me, I enjoy learning about the person behind the words. Suzy Kassem is a writer, philosopher, and filmmaker who believes that the greatest obstacle to success is not failure—it is the fear that lives within us. That thought resonated deeply with me.

How many dreams have quietly slipped away, not because they were impossible, but because someone convinced themselves they were? How many callings have gone unanswered because a voice whispered, What if I fail? Fear has a way of painting frightening pictures that rarely become reality. Doubt can keep us standing at the starting line long after the race has begun. Yet every great accomplishment in history began with someone taking one uncertain step forward. Personally, I have come to believe there really are no mistakes—only experiences that gently guide us toward where we are meant to be. Life often reveals that what initially appears to be an inconvenience or setback is actually part of a much larger tapestry that we cannot yet see.

Recently, I experienced a simple but meaningful reminder of this truth. After enjoying a meal with friends, I accidentally left something valuable behind at the restaurant. I didn't realize it until we had already arrived home, and by then the restaurant had closed for the evening. For just a brief moment, my mind began creating all the "what if" scenarios. What if someone took it? What if it was gone forever? Then I caught myself. I took a deep breath and simply handed the situation over to God and the angels. "I know You are watching over this," I prayed. "If it is meant to return to me, I trust that it will."

The following morning we returned to the restaurant, and just as I had trusted, my item had been safely kept for me. I thanked the staff and silently thanked the angels as well. But the story didn't end there. While we were there, my dear friend Ruth remembered that she needed a special cake for a celebration the next day. Had we not returned because of my forgotten item, she never would have been able to place the order in time. What first appeared to be an unfortunate oversight became the very reason everything unfolded perfectly. It reminded me that Divine timing is rarely visible while we are living through it. We tend to judge events too quickly, labeling them as mistakes, failures, or inconveniences. Yet later we discover they were stepping stones placed lovingly along our path.

The Apostle Paul wrote: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Dear Angels, why are we so willing to jump to the worst scenario or beat ourselves up for our “mistakes” instead of trusting in the Divine plan?

Dear Ones, you have been taught to measure life by outcomes instead of by growth. When something does not unfold according to your expectations, the human mind immediately searches for someone to blame—even if that someone is yourself. Yet from our perspective, your life is not a series of successes and failures. It is a beautiful tapestry woven from countless moments that are guiding your soul home.

Every experience carries a gift. Every delay contains wisdom. Every apparent mistake opens a doorway to greater awareness when met with love instead of judgment. When doubt begins to speak, pause before believing it. Breathe deeply and remember that the same Divine Presence that placed the stars in the heavens is lovingly guiding your footsteps. You are never walking alone, and nothing is beyond God's ability to weave into something beautiful. Trust more. Fear less. Love yourself through every lesson. The path before you has already been blessed.

Angels Whisper: The greatest obstacle is not failure—it is forgetting who walks beside you. When you trust Divine timing, every detour becomes part of your destiny, every lesson becomes a blessing, and every dream finds the courage to unfold.

Today I release doubt and choose trust. I know that every step of my journey is guided by Divine love, and all things are unfolding in perfect timing..
