DIVINELY AWARE

“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” -Henry Miller
What does it mean to be divinely aware? Many people spend their lives searching for the next thing they believe will bring them happiness, fulfillment, or peace. They seek a better job, a different relationship, a new home, more money, or a fresh start. Yet often the greatest transformation does not come from changing our circumstances—it comes from changing our awareness. The only thing in this world that can truly change your life is you. Sometimes the changes required are tiny adjustments in perception. Sometimes they are monumental shifts in how we think, feel, and respond. And sometimes, surprisingly, nothing external needs to change at all. We simply need to become more conscious of our thoughts, actions, words, and intentions.
During meditation this morning, I found myself contemplating the power of intention. How powerful are we really? Can a group of people united in focused awareness alter the course of events? Can collective consciousness influence the intensity of a storm, the spread of a fire, or the outcome of a challenging situation? Can our intentions affect the actions of others? I have personally witnessed what appears to be the power of collective intention.
Having lived in Florida for much of my life, I have experienced more than my share of hurricanes and tropical storms. One storm in particular seemed destined to strike directly where I was living. As concern grew, my spiritual community sent out a request around the world, asking people to join us in prayer, meditation, and focused intention. Together we visualized protection, peace, and a change in the storm's path. Something remarkable happened. The storm gradually shifted course. Its strength diminished. What had appeared to be an imminent threat no longer posed the danger it once had. Was it coincidence? Divine intervention? The power of collective consciousness? Perhaps it was some combination of all three. Throughout history, indigenous cultures have understood the relationship between humanity and nature in ways modern society often overlooks. We hear stories of rain dances that brought much-needed moisture during droughts and ceremonies performed in harmony with the natural world. These practices were rooted in an understanding that everything is interconnected.
If our thoughts, prayers, and intentions truly matter—and I believe they do—then perhaps the question is not whether we have power. Perhaps the question is whether we are conscious enough to use it wisely. If thousands of people can unite their energy to influence a storm, imagine what could happen if millions focused on peace instead of conflict, compassion instead of judgment, and cooperation instead of division. Why, then, do we continue to struggle so much as a planet? Perhaps the challenge is not a lack of power but a lack of awareness. Much of humanity is still asleep to its own divine nature. We are distracted by fear, anger, separation, and the endless noise of the world. Our energy becomes scattered. We pull against one another instead of working together. We focus on what we don't want instead of what we hope to create. Divine awareness invites us to remember who we are. It asks us to recognize that every thought sends out a ripple. Every prayer carries energy. Every act of kindness affects the whole. Every choice contributes to the collective consciousness of humanity. When we become aware of this truth, we begin to live differently. We become more intentional with our words. More mindful of our reactions. More compassionate toward others. We stop seeing ourselves as isolated individuals and begin recognizing ourselves as part of a much larger tapestry. To be divinely aware is not to walk through life detached from reality. It is to walk through life fully awake to the sacredness of every moment. It is seeing God in the sunrise, in the stranger, in the challenge, and even in the storm. It is understanding that we are both participants and co-creators in this grand adventure called life.
Dear Angels, if humanity possesses such great potential through collective awareness and intention, what is the greatest obstacle preventing us from creating lasting peace and harmony?
Dear Ones, the greatest obstacle is not darkness but forgetfulness. You have forgotten your connection to one another. You have forgotten your connection to the Divine. You have forgotten that every soul is a thread in the same tapestry. When fear arises, separation appears real. When love arises, unity becomes evident.
The awakening taking place on your planet is not about gaining new power; it is about remembering the power you have always possessed. As more hearts awaken, compassion expands. As compassion expands, cooperation grows. As cooperation grows, miracles become possible. Begin with your own awareness. Become conscious of your thoughts. Bless your words before speaking them. Let your actions reflect the world you wish to create. A single candle can light another candle without losing its flame. In the same way, your awareness can inspire another soul to awaken. This is how peace spreads. This is how storms are calmed. This is how heaven is revealed upon the Earth.
Angels Whisper: Become aware of what you are feeding with your thoughts today. Every thought is a seed planted in the garden of your life. Choose those that nourish peace, hope, compassion, and love. The world changes one awakened heart at a time—and that heart may be yours.
Today, I promise to become more divinely aware of the power to influence by conscious attention to my own thoughts and actions.
