AWAKENED BY THE STORM

Is there a single soul walking this earth who has never met conflict in some form? I don't believe so. Struggle seems woven into the very fabric of being human as a companion none of us asked for, yet all of us carry. The angels have a gentle habit of nudging us to "lighten up," to release the weight we so often place on ourselves. And yet, how much harder that becomes when life keeps handing us challenge after challenge, day after day.

But perhaps that's exactly the point Channing was making. Difficulties aren't sent to break us; they are sent to rouse us. To wake something up inside that was resting, waiting, ready to rise. The human spirit isn't meant to shrink from conflict; it's meant to be forged by it, the way fire tempers steel.

Dear Angels, how do we maintain our peace in the midst of conflict and chaos?

Dear Ones, we would never ask you to deny what you feel. Your human experience is sacred, including the moments when your heart feels heavy. When we ask you to lighten up, we are asking you to lighten the load you insist on carrying alone. Give some of it to us. Give some of it to God. You were never asked to hold the entire world upon your shoulders.

When a difficulty appears, breathe before you decide what it means. Your human mind often rushes ahead and creates ten more problems from the one that is actually before you. It imagines tomorrow, next week and next year before today has even finished unfolding. Come back to this moment. What is needed right now? Perhaps nothing more than one breath. One prayer. One decision. One step.

You do not need the entire path illuminated before you begin walking. Divine guidance often arrives one step at a time. And beloved ones, remember that difficulty does not mean you are going in the wrong direction. Sometimes resistance strengthens the wings you will soon need to fly. Allow the experience to rouse you. Let it awaken your courage. Let it deepen your faith. Let it remind you of your strength.

And whenever the journey becomes too serious, look around for something beautiful. Find something that makes you smile. Laugh when you can. Love whenever possible. Joy is not disrespectful to your struggle. Joy is one of the ways you remember that your struggle does not own you. Keep going, Dear Ones. You are becoming stronger than you know.

Angels Whisper: Do not ask the storm why it came. Ask what within you is ready to awaken because it did. Lighten your heart, loosen your grip, and trust the next step. You are never walking it alone.
