The Blame Game

Well, I do know many who choose to believe that it is something other than a negative attitude that creates their “bad luck” in the world. Some would argue that they are incapable of maintaining a positive mindset because of all the crises and happenings around them. I remember when I was going through some of the hardest times of my life, when the world seemed to be crashing down, and all I wanted was for the spin to stop. I could not pull together a positive thought on my own. I sat with a dear friend who just happened to be a minister. She helped me to look inside instead of constantly bringing the focus to the outside. It took me awhile to allow myself to stop the blame/shame/guilt game. It is a horrible game to play. Anytime we look outside of ourselves either searching for answers or to point fingers, it never ends well. Tonight I listened to the last recording that Nightbirde did before her death. One of her statements stuck out for me in the midst of her holding on to hope and wanting to live so badly. She talked about not knowing why God didn’t fix some things that are wrong and she seemed to be referring to cancer. I know that many people ask this question and usually when life is at a low point.
Dear Angels, I know that you get this particular question so much from us humans. We seem to have a need to blame the “bad” things on something or someone. I acknowledge that I do not have answers and I have also in my past blamed an entity that I envisioned as “God.” Can you give us some insight on this question?
Dear Ones, we invite you to look at what blame is. It is finding fault with something. It is disappointment that someone – in this case you are asking about God – allowed to happen although in your opinion it could have had a different outcome, one that you agree with. We also invite you to think about the process of issuing that blame. Many are quick to judge God as being wrong in acting or not acting to bring solutions to your world problems. And at the same time, you do not honor and respect this same being as having all power and having your back when things go wrong. We are not saying you are wrong or right, only that this is the pattern we are observing. You praise God when things go your way and blame God when they do not fulfil your expectations. God has given humans free will to make choices for the purpose of learning from your experiences. You have the option to choose to trust that everything has a divine plan and is working out in divine time or come to your own conclusion about how much the Divine you envision takes part in worldly happenings. God does not need defending. If you are raging against the being you choose to call God, ask yourself what your unmet expectation was that created the anger inside you. This is not a question that can be fully discussed in one sitting, Dear Ones. It requires deep exploration of your beliefs and ideals. There is no right or wrong answer for all. Our guidance for you is to step away and breathe, pausing to quiet the mind and then you can start with a fresh look at all of these things we shared for you to examine.
Dear Angels, thank you for your guidance. These are hard times and many have deep hurts, which causes us to seek answers. I am grateful to you and to God for unconditional love. I love you. Namaste y’all.
