My Way

If you are like me, you probably have either spoken about or heard others speak about how time flies. It just seems to go by faster, we say. Something has shifted and now time is different than it was in the past. Yes, it does appear to be so but when we stop to think about the time we have while in this human experience we realize that we have just as much time as everyone else. The part that perhaps is getting “lost” is that we have control over how we spend our time. I know, I can hear some of you arguing with me about this. However, when you look at your 24 hours, it is the exact same amount of time as what I have and what all of us have here on this planet. We have a tendency to blame anyone we can for the time rushing by. It’s the job or other busyness that ate up our time. It’s responsibilities at home. It’s the commute to/from work. And on and on the list can go to confirm that we are right. Just for the moment, let’s say that there is no right or wrong. There just is. Kind of like the amount of time we have – it just is. Now, for just a moment, let’s look at what we are doing with our individual isness. I find that there are times where I am taking control and making decisions wherever I can while there are other times when I give my power away to others to determine what happens to my time. Using self-awareness techniques, I can minimize how much of my time I allow to be taken out of my control. We all can and I encourage us to do just that.
Dear Angels, you have said on many occasions that we are only on this earth plane for “a minute” in the grand scheme of things. When I think of it in that way and break down those 60 seconds of time, I want to make the most of each decision that will lead me to the most miraculous experience. I am the only one who can achieve that. As humans, how can we stay more focused on that and take our power back?
Dear Ones, just as you made a choice to let someone else decide things for you, you can also make a decision to decide for yourself. Once you get into a habit of letting others have a say-so in what you do and when you do it, it becomes harder to regain that control. Not to worry though, as you can start fresh at any given moment to take control of your own life. Keep in mind that you are doing it for you. Others may be thrown when you suddenly decide to think and act for yourself. There may be some pushback. How important is it to you what others think, say and do? That is another example of giving your power away. If it is more important to you to please others in your life than it is to be happy with your own choices, then you are consciously deciding to relinquish to them your decision-making power. The only way you will be truly happy inside is to be yourself and that includes thinking, speaking and acting in the way you want. So many times you listen to the old tape telling you “don’t rock the boat.” We encourage you to pick up the oars and row the boat in the direction your heart tells you to go. It will feel strange at first but once you experience the joy inside of you, there is no stopping you! Do it your way!
