Breaking Habits

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Aristotle

Habits are our brains way of doing things more efficiently. As we unconsciously repeat the same behaviors and do things the same way each time, it makes it harder to change our behavior if it is not serving our best and highest purpose. When someone says the words “I can’t they are stuck in the habitual way of doing something. The brain is going to tell you “this is how you do it because this is how you’ve always done it.” What would happen if you decided to not do it the same way you always did? What if you stepped outside of your comfort zone and said “yes, I can” instead of “I can’t”?

Dear Angels, how can we move into more positive habits to create the life we came here to live?

Dear Ones, breaking habits is not as simple as just deciding to do so. It is difficult to undo a lifetime of beliefs and patterns. Perhaps you can start with the commitment to be willing to look at options. That is less threatening, wouldn’t you agree? It is a first step toward making a change. We encourage you to look at this possibility if there is something you know is not working out in your life. Just the mere fact that you are giving it a chance to see if there is a different way of doing something will start the creativity flowing and send your brain on assignment to look for answers.

Dear Angels, thank you for that! I can definitely get on board with being willing to look at alternatives and know I can make better choices in doing so. I love you. Namaste y’all.
