Real Persistence

Persistence is the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people. What are you persistent about in your life? We all have difficulties but it is in how we deal with those difficulties that determines whether we keep on keeping on or just throw our hands up in frustration or defeat. When we quit, that is a conscious decision to not persist whether it is because we get tired, worn down, or just convince ourselves that it is too hard to continue. When we commit to something, we have every intention to see it through but then things happen, life happens and situations happen. I am not the same person I was yesterday, inside or out and neither are you. Our bodies change daily as cells regenerate. Why then do we expect our brain to be any different? It is made up of cells, right? We have a humongous amount of thoughts floating through our brains daily and sometimes the filing system gets backlogged and we have to stop and rearrange our priorities. But back to persistence. Making a commitment to do something is only the first step, which can be quite difficult if we stop and think of what we are committing to. Then the real work begins. Sometimes we need reminders such as notes on a calendar or sticky notes in front of us, maybe even a ring on a finger or a different last name. Yeah, commitment can be tough. The reminders are an important part of it.

The angels are reminding us that in this time of high spiritual energy, we need to take an inventory of our commitments and prioritize them. Does something no longer fit? There is a lot of purging going on of negative from our lives, whether it be people, situations, or thoughts. The important thing is to know what you are committed to, see if it is still a fit for you and then make a conscious decision to either let it go or persist on the path with it. Hugz~Love
